Thank you all for the replies so far.

While I like the red I love the mat grey and think I can score one a little cheaper.

I looked pretty closely when they came out but couldn't find any differences (other than the color and decals on tank). I did notice in the images from Yamaha, the plastic covers under the seat next to the passenger footpegs are absent like they were in pre-2104 models. I don't know if this is just because these are images of pre-production models or if they are truly not there on the 2015. Personally, I like those panels.

Look closely at the shocks shown above.. the red one is a regular non ES shock.

They just did a major revision, there will be nothing new for a few model years, and this is as much tech as I'd want on my ES..

I can see them going with full LED headlights next.. That's what they've done with the new R1.

I did that on my S10 with Cyclops LED H7 bulbs.

If anyone this side of the pond is going to the London show next Friday It would a good question to ask. Personally I would'nt be to bothered as the BMW's I've owned, and there have been a few, have never had them. Always been an aftermarket thing from the likes of Wunderlich or Kornig. Still I'll have a look as I'm off myself to check out the S10 as had enough of boxers.

Just in case anyone is thinking what is aboxer owner doing on the S10 forum, I bought a Green XTZ750 new many years ago and sold it on. it was the last of the UK ones I think. Sounded brill with the opem MIG can. Not sure what year that was. Had a TDM850 and 900 after that and been on Beemers more or less ever since. Time to go back to Yams I think and that lovely parallel twin motor.

I like the cover, I wonder if it would fit on a '12 model. Don't see why not except I have the penske shock reservoir strapped on the frame there.

Well Mr. Fisherman, given you seem to have been thinking about it on the forum for a few years... My vote would be you give yourself a hell of a fun birthday - go off riding a few months and watch your post count skyrocket with adventure stories O:)

Oh and you blow the trade in money on farkles ! >:D
