The Penske shock is the same lenght as the stocker. the forks were raised about 10mm in the triple tree to lower the front. The lowering links make the rear about 1" lower. Front fork springs were upgraded to match the penske shock and spring in the rear. This gives the bike the proper "sag" for my weight and gear. I weigh about 200lbs. before putting on any protective gear. Many have coplained that the oem rear shock is sprung too light for heavier riders. The difference in the bike is night and day as far as ride comfort and handling. The bike can be returned to stock specs by putting the oem links back on and lowering the forks flush with the triple tree.

free bump..........

good info. I will most likely get a new rear when the OEM goes, still going over 12,0000. I was only able to lover the front a few MM. The lower clamp is starting to hit the taper down and I did not want partial contact. Can you post a pict?

I would like to sell the bike as is. It seems stock 12's are going for around 8k w/o much on them? It seems another 2k for a bike with low miles and over 4k in add ons would be fair? I'm not in a position where I have to give it away. Before I do that I'll keep it and put a hack on it in the future. Yes, I would consider selling the shock.

So you would sell the Penske for $500.00? ::024::

beat me to it..............

I have not forgotten about you Joe. Not really ready to do shock work on my 12, still got life in the OEM. Now if the right deal were to come along...........I just might purchase one. First in line or second?
