Yep, the time has come and I may very well regret my decision later on - but here goes:

2012 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere

19,247 Miles
Farkles/Extras:
- Givi Trekker Side Bags/Tail Trunk (1-36l & 2-45l), mounted on SW-M sideracks and Givi tailrack
- Givi Crashbars/Engine Guards
- BMW handgrips
- Symtec Grip Heaters
- HDB Handlebar Top Clamp (w/Powerlet Socket & RAM Ball Mount)
- BMS Custom Seats (Rider & Pillion)
- FZ-1 Fuseblock
- Fenda/Extenda
- TechSpec Tank Protectors
- WaspWorks Adjustable Windscreen Bracket
- Yamaha Wind Deflectors
- Yamaha Tank Bag

Overall condition of bike is very good. Some minor cosmetic damage to Givi sidebag as the result of a slow speed tumble on a gravel road during my trip to Alaska. Presently have Heidenau K60 tires installed - front is good for 4-6K more miles, rear 2-3K.

Bike is located in Loveland Colorado. You can fly-n-ride into Denver and I will pick you up at the airport.

Price: 10,900

I'll add some current pictures later on, but you all know what the Tenere looks like!! ::022::

You all don't know Rod well. If I recall correctly, he hasn't kept a bike longer than around 2 years since I've known him. :D
So - Rod, are you going to get the 2013 FJR?
Or are you going to just ride your scooter? :)) ::025::

Randy is right................. I managed to keep one bike (my first ST1100) for 7 years. Virtually all the rest over the years have been in the 1-3 year range of ownership.

The new FJR is nice, but I don't think it will happen for me. But who knows. For the time being, I'm planning to ride my Burgy.

Sorry to see you are leaving Rod. It has been great even though I have never got to meet you. From the beginning, waiting for our bikes and until now, It has been a great ride. ::26::

Thanks Tim! Not sure about the Colorado gathering. although it does look like I'm going to pass on the BC event that was in conflict with the event here - so at this time it looks "doable".

Best of luck with the sale. How about the CB500x? I am thinking about going lighter in the future but I love this bike for now.

Re: 2012 BLUE Super Tenere Fro Sale in Colorado

OK, I have thoroughly checked this situation out, and the Rod-ster has finally grown weary of that crappy old BLUE bike and is gonna buy a new GRAY Tenere. Come on, Rod .... you can't keep it a secret forever. Getter done, son. Glad you have finally seen the gray ...uh, the light. ::025:: ::012:: ::014:: ::018:: R

The grey is nice, for sure. But, afraid not for me anytime soon - and the BLUE is still the most desirable color (colour)!!!'

My beautiful BLUE Super Tenere just rode off with it's new owner. As with every other bike I have owned, it's both a sad and a semi-sweet day.......

Not sure what (if any) my next bike will be in the stable. For now, the Burgman will be my steed of choice and will carry me near and far!!!

Congratulations Rod. I am surprised it too so long to sell your well kept and accessorized Blue Super Tenere. Was it sold to a local? I ask because IMO you live in the Land of Adventure Riding. Hope you continue to participate here at YamahaSuperTenere.com.

ps - if you are thinking FJR1300A I would like to know more. I am thinking the same though I don't have plans on selling my Tenere.

Thanks Tim! I had moderte interest from the local area - which is about what I expected given the time of year. The new owner is in California. His son lives here in Loveland and he took delivery of the bike and will ride it out to CA for his Dad in the coming weeks. I expect him to join the forum shortly.

For now, not even thinking about a replacement for the Tenere. Too many other things going on (which is why I have not been able to spend much time on the Forum).
