It's too wide to fit inside of the opening beneath the headlights which is about 9 5/8"

This is a 6" bar which picked up existing holes but does need a little work around them for the brackets to fit flush. Some custom/home made mounts should work but the 10" bar would be a fair bit further forward

That light bar you posted about will fit, just reverse the light struts that hold the light, left to right so the extrusions are facing inwards...........

I'll be interested to see what you think of this light bar. I have the 6" version on my ATV, which is a dead-ringer for the 6" Rigid on my Tenere. The Mictuning unit may put out *slightly* less light than the Rigid, but you need to see them side by side to be able to tell the difference.

I thought of doing that. Reversing the mounting brackets. I don't want the light to protrude too far in front of the headlight though. I pick up the bike in about 10 days so I'll measure things up then.

I have the 6" light bar on my '14ES. Fits perfectly with the bracket they sell with it. Bright as hell. I did not consider the larger bar since people were buying this size when I purchased my bike. I took out the plastic vent and replaced it with this size bar. It all worked out very well.
I am sure that you will like either size. If your girlfriend/wife prefers ten inches over six..then go for it.
Merry Christmas!

I found a 7.5" bar that was similar to the 10". That's the one I went with. It has the same mounting bracket so I may be able to turn the bracket around to get the mounting holes closer together if need be. It wasn't very expensive but gets decent ratings. Hopefully it will work out.

I have the Skene running my handlebar lights. Great controller, and I really enjoy the flexibility offered. I went with the Alert feature as well, and have triggered it a couple of times. The other thing he doesn't mention is that the lights go to 100% when you hold the horn button, rather than just double tap it.

Looks good. Did you use the mounting hardware that came with it? If yes, did it require much tweaking?

So, I was quite hungover yesterday and not really at the top of my game. I did have to trim the brackets slightly with a rotary tool and a cutoff wheel. However, I ended up making two left hand brackets instead of a left and right one so one of the brackets has more material missing then it needs. In retrospect, operating any type of machinery yesterday was a bit risky. I'll probably see if I can order another set of the brackets and re-do them a little cleaner. Worst case, I spend another 39 dollars and put on on my KLR as well.

I have the six inch bar light on my 2014ES. It works...great!! Rarely get flashed at night. I use the optional green cover during the day. You can see the bike a mile away!

Are you guys wiring the light bar to a switch? Or, to a key-switched circuit?
