    Sidestand lean....?

    I put a "Camel Toe" on mine. Bigger foot print for soft surfaces, and great conversation piece.

    HARD START

    Re: Very hard starting today Add me to the list. Wouldn't start on the way to work a few days ago. Luckily I had read some of this thread, cuz I used the WOT technique and got it going after about 60 seconds of cranking. I have to admit that I almost never use the kill switch, so that may be...

    best screen

    I have the large CalSci screen and really like it. No noticeable buffeting with this one. I am 5'10" and do quite a bit of high speed highway riding.

    Just a REMinder

    83 here now with a predicted high of 88. I think I'll go for a ride. ::018::

    Do I just get it ?

    Yeah, two bikes or more..... That's what's so cool about the S10! It IS two bikes or more! Great street manners, and pretty decent trail manners. Unless you really want to go insane with super fast street riding or airborne style off roading, the S10 will more than cover ALL of your riding...

    Hello from Florida

    Welcome Still A Badger! I'm in Florida, too. I moved to the S10 from the Kawy Concours C10. 200 more cc's with the S10 with about the same mpg and much less vibration. Major plus is that the S10 comes standard with linked ABS. If you initiate braking with the front brake, it feeds in rear...

    ::..CalSci vs Parabellum screen..::

    No vibration with the large CalSci. At 5'10", my entire face sits just above the top of the screen at my usual upright riding position, but the airstream goes just above my head. I feel just enough ventilation through the vent holes in the top of my helmet. I am very happy with this shield, but...

    Ducati Multistrada - Why so damn ugly?

    I think they look great! But, just being real, the S10 is plenty quick for me. Having that much speed on tap would just get me into trouble. ::019::

    I Guess the Super Ténéré is just a Warm Weather Bike

    Funny, but I never seem to have these troubles. Bike pretty much runs the same year round. ;D

    price increase

    Yep, from what I've seen, changes on the spec page have always been delayed. Main page shows $14,500.

    Rear End / Final Drive Oil

    Re: 2 types of yamalube for final drive - which one do I use? Just got 600 mile service done at dealer. They used Yamaha Hypoid GL-5, according to the checklist.

    Emergency Flashers?

    I saw on a German website where it is available for about 142 euros plus about 30 euros for shipping. About $250 total. Not sure, but I'd bet it plugs right in to the same spot. http://www.teile-katalog.com/d2pnrs/d2pnrs?ALIAS=25401&E4S_ISFRAME=1#nullE

    Emergency Flashers?

    I think that the wiring is there. I'm thinking about purchasing a European handlebar switch set with the emergency flashers and flash to pass buttons and see if I can just hook them up? I haven't seen the North American Tenere shop manual, yet, but I would bet that the wiring harness is the same...

    Running out of gas

    FWIW, I was 36 miles into "reserve" and it took 5.6 to fill up.

    Hurricane Irene

    As usual, the weather guys sensationalized this one. I am right on the east coast between Cocoa Beach and Daytona, and we've had worse weather from afternoon thunderstorms than we got from this storm. I'm sure that it is an impressive storm out at sea, but they've been talking on the radio and...

    SA spec Tenere

    I am guessing that the wiring is the same cuz I read where some of the European guys who were changing to LED turn signals noted that the blue running light wire was included on the turn signal wiring harness, even though the European bike turn signals are not set up to operate as running...

    Day Ride thru Rock Mtn Nat'l Park

    I really like the looks of the E21's on the S10. I'm using those, too.

    ADV shootout

    I wonder if they'll think to turn the traction control off when in the dirt?

    Isn't it funny how we buy something new and proceed to take it apart immediately

    Eastern Beaver sells the other side of that 4 wire aux plug. You could just make your own adapter for your fuze block and plug right into that one....
