    Air filter issues

I just grabbed the plug with a pair of pliers. The first time it was pretty stiff, but it popped right out the second time. I saw a drop in milage last winter, wether from temp or winter blend I don't know, but never anything like what I saw this past 2 weeks.

    Air filter issues

Thanks for the replies. I did have a oil/water sludge in the little nipple, and in the photo you can see it looks like rust. There was a little pool of water laying there. Condensation is one of my first thoughts, especially as my commute isn't very long so I doubt everything gets warmed up...

    Air filter issues

I have an issue here you guys may be able to help with. 2012 with 13000 miles on, daily rider/commuter. Garaged at night, parking lot in the day. Anyway a couple weeks ago I opened the air box for the first time to check the filter. The air box was nice and clean, and figured Id change the...

    so how many miles tell...............

My experience so far is that my bike smoothed out noticeably by about 10.000 miles. But I never felt any vibe issues (Versys was way buzzier). This summer I bought a cheap pair of mesh gloves while down south, and immediately started getting the finger tingle going on. Bought a good pair of...

    Anyone else get knee pain?

My knees are wore too. About every hour I slow down to about 50 and do 15-25 squats/knee bends. gets the circulation in my ass working again and stretches the legs. I go all day with this routine.

The Character of the Super Tenere

Just look at that face! That's character. Look at those eyes. 10000 miles on it now, and it does everything I ever want it to do. Other then luggage, And tires, haven't had to do anything to this bike but change the oil and ride it. That's great character in my book.

Newbie GPS Question: How Does Multiple Points Routing Work?

Mtbjay, as you said you use a Mac, have a modern GPS unit that allows routing, and you use Basecamp. Creating routes and loading them onto your unit is quick and simple. Hope you enjoy the new GPS. It becomes addictive, creating routes and riding them. Great fun. Heres an excellent link for...

Newbie GPS Question: How Does Multiple Points Routing Work?

Heres some screenshots of what youll see as you load your maps onto your computer (Mac desktop). Its pretty straightforward. As you can see I have the full version of North America loaded which I downloaded off my Lifetime Maps update for my Nuvi 50, but I also have map set downloaded from my...

Newbie GPS Question: How Does Multiple Points Routing Work?

This is absolutely positively incorrect. I've been using basecamp on both my IMac and Mac air. You can easily download your full version of whatever map set , I'm guessing you have North America, onto your computer and create your routes, waypoints etc, then later load them onto your gps. I have...

Low Oil light? How low before it comes on?

Re: Oil light I guess I'd be pretty concerned about the oil level dropping. I've had the oil light come on occaisonally when still cool since the bike was new. Goes out either after a couple miles or at a stop sign or red light. Just had it happen yesterday again. But my oil level is fine. I'm...

    Navigation

I decided the Montana is where Im headed too. It will do everything I want and more. Plus it feels like it'll take a hit or two. Saving my nickles and dimes. Heck, the topo package costs more then a nuvi.
