Are stock wind screen mounts strong enough?

I just installed the tall V-Stream on the bike and after a short ride I think it's going to work very well. I'll add the winglets next week. My concern is if the stock plastic mounts and bracket is going to hold up with the extra wind force on the screen. Anyone have any problems and if so...

    brought it home today...

As a recent BMW owner, you will love it. In the past week I sold a new GSA and an 07 RT and bought the Tenere. I still have my old trusty 1100 GS that I've loved for for 16 yrs, but after 300 mi on the Tenere today I just don't feel the love for her anymore. It may be up for sale soon. I was...

Yep, I made the right decision

After working the past 3 days while my brand spanking new Tenere sat in the garage, I was able to put nearly 300 mi on it. What a great bike!! Nothing really "stood out", but everything jut felt right and worked. My bet description is the result of breeding a sport bike and a BMW GS. I love...

    V-Stream wind screen

I'm coming off a GSA and RT and like a windshield that gives a lot of wind protection. As good as the stock screen is, I want something bigger for touring. The V-Stream looks good and is quite a bit larger than stock, but not sure which one would work. The "sport/touring" is 16" wide and 21"...

Well, I finally got my head out....!

Add one more to list of converts. Sold my new GSA last week, picked up my new Tenere yesterday and sold my RT today. I'll keep the old 95 GS with a new FD and 176k mi just for sentimental reasons and some off-roading. I don't think I'm going to be disappointed.

    Expensive drive

My buddy took his Tenere in for it's 600 mi service and I agreed to give him a ride home. That favor cost me $14,600 as there is now a brand new Tenere in my garage! I've been contemplating the purchase and since the GSA is sold and I have what sounds like a solid buyer for my RT, I thought...

Free bags if buying new bike.

Saw it on the post"want to buy Tenere" Looks like it might be a dealer incentive, not Yamaha.

Is it true tat Yamaha is throwing in the side cases if I buy a new Tenere in September? If o where is it printed to verify to dealer.

Seriously considering changing family's. BMW to Tenere.

I seem to be heading toward the Tenere. I sold my new GSA and as the buyer was test riding the bike, I questioned if I was making a mistake. Surprisingly, I don't think I'll regret selling this bike. As great as it is, it just didn't "fit" me. I took a ride on my RT with my Tenere buddy today...

Seriously considering changing family's. BMW to Tenere.

I started on a KLR for 2 years and 20k memorable miles before going to a 95 1100 GS which just turned 176k mi and has been every where. Overall it's been pretty darn reliable, But I have invested many $$ over the years for maint. and repairs. Have had a few sport tourers over the years and...
