Are stock wind screen mounts strong enough?

I just installed the tall V-Stream on the bike and after a short ride I think it's going to work very well. I'll add the winglets next week.
My concern is if the stock plastic mounts and bracket is going to hold up with the extra wind force on the screen.
Anyone have any problems and if so, what is the solution.

I just installed the tall V-Stream a couple of days ago. I also have the Touratech adjustable bracket installed. So far so good. I'm loving it!

I haven't read about people breaking them with taller windshields, which is a good thing. Because those plastic posts are also the mount for the instrument cluster, headlights, turn signals, and more. I believe the Italian round the world rider, Davide Biga, and one person on a blue broke theirs. Biga was additionally carrying big brackets and such on the plastic uprights.

Yamaha uses rubber well nuts to protect the mount and I would not consider drilling anything up there to create a potential stress concentration point.
