I'm coming off a GSA and RT and like a windshield that gives a lot of wind protection.
As good as the stock screen is, I want something bigger for touring.
The V-Stream looks good and is quite a bit larger than stock, but not sure which one would work.
The "sport/touring" is 16" wide and 21" tall as the "touring" screen is 17x24.
Anyone try the V-stream and what do you think of it?
Also, do the Yamaha factory winglets help much and will they intefere with the V-Stream?
Thanks

Howdy,
Welcome, quick answers to your questions, I run the Sport Tour height and I am very happy. Contrary to some posts I use both sets of mounting holes depending on air temp. Though the biggest improvement and they do work with the V-Stream were the OEM Wind Deflectors. Very happy with the "pocket" and this is someone who use to ride a Gold Wing GL1800.
Later,
Norm

RE: MRA Variotouring Screen

I rented GSM motorent's Twisted Throttle equipped ST and did about 500 miles of asphalt and forest roads in the Smokes of TN and NC (link below).

It was equipped iwth a MRA Variotouring Screen (link below). It looked a little silly at first, but I really got to like it. You could fine adjust the top spoiler to the perfect flow, putting it up for the freeways and down for the forests. You really never noticed the spoiler attachments like you might think you would. Am considering this to replace the short stock shield when I pull the trigger on buying an ST this week. Also liked the TRAX bags, and am thinking of ALTrider skid plate and crash bars.

I have mid-size V-Stream and it's purrfect. Mounted on Touratech adjustable bracket so that top of windshield about even with my nose. Does such a gold job that helmet vents have dropped off a bit. Also use TT'S version2 mount for 665 GPS. Problem with all that cantilivered weight and wind force the S10's plastic windshield brackets aren't rigid enough 'n the whole assembly shakes too much to read the GPS. Screws work loose-it's a mess! Soon, made struts from 3/8" brass tube.
