BMW's problem was not with the key but the antenna ring in the switch. Lost mine on my 08 RT just as I had all my gear on and headed to Bentonville BMW to have it replaced and spend the weekend in NW Arkansas. I was slightly pissed.

When I bought the RT I got the option package with cruise. Didn't think I would use it very often, but as others have stated it is very nice in certain situations. I guess I've gotten spoiled but this is something I would like to have on the Tenere.

I'm hoping and betting that it will do just fine. I think hoebSTer nailed it. Most bikes now days are good enough that it's all about who's sitting on the seat.

Just got my Dec. issue and there's the ST on the cover with a very nice write up. Not a full blown test but they had very positive things to say. Sold the RT a couple of months ago so I'm bikeless and it sucks. I may have to find a cheap beater to ride until May.

Don't know for certain but I read somewhere they're made in Spain.
