I'm curious about this mod. I have an '09 WR'R that has been heavily mod'ed out. About the only thing I haven't done is the suspension. Is this a high dollar kit, or something easy like replacement springs?

I agree with the global economy concept too. But, there are certain things I will not buy if they are made in China. Generally important things like Food, pet food/treats, and tires. I've been running the Tourance tires on my bike and have liked them. If the new ones are coming from China...

There are two versions of the Hepco Becker racks. The older version doesn't really allow aftermarket muffler clearance. Which is why the new version was designed. Sounds like you may have the older version. The best way to tell is look at the cross brace that connects the two sides...

I guess I didn't read good enough. I bought the ones linked by vnp514. My harness is perfect and shows zero signs of melting. All I did was unplug the harness from the bulb, plug in the ceramic jumper, tuck it up out of the way, and then closed up the compartment. Repeated for the other...

Gave the episodes a listening. So far, good start. I have to admit I'm a Wheel Nerds fan, but they don't really cover large adventure bikes too much. One thing I'm wondering: Why you falling over so much? You do know the seat can be adjusted to a "low" setting? :P

Don't forget a long Phillips head screw driver and a hammer. You may need to use them to get a too tight oil filter off. :-[

I like the stock wind screen set to the top position. The wind stream hits the top of my helmet, and I can ride with my visor open. I use the low seat, and am 5'9" 29" inseam.

I use a 5.11 6x6 molle pouch. It fits in the space, barely and I zip tie it in place. It holds a Slime air pump and tire repair kit. It is not water proof, but I've had the kit in there for the past 19 months with no issues from the California weather...

I never took mine in for the recall. It doesn't leak and I don't see the need.

I'm not coordinated enough to fill the bike while balancing on it.
