Now I'll just go into "never happy consumer mode".

What about ogg and mp3 format downloads for my various camping entertainment devices. ;D

So far I've only listened to the current show (#4). I hung on through the extremely long feeling (1:30+) opening to the show...not really, I did have to fast forward through part of it. Overall it is entertaining enough to warrant checking out earlier shows. It was easy to relate to the topics discussed. Wife constantly catching you looking at motorcycle porn, a BMW rider addicted to Starbucks (shocking), and a Tenere owner very happy with his purchase.

I'm a regular listener to The Pace motorcycle podcast. This one has more potential to be on topic and relevant to our community. Not sure where Kick n Gravel is going, but curious enough to listen to other shows to get more of a feel for it. I'm hopeful this will be a worthwhile addition to my regular line up.

Thanks a lot for your input. If you ever have any suggestions or comments please send them good or bad. We want as much feedback as we can get. I'll let my buddy know about the intro and get it shortened up. It's hard to tell a bemmer guy to change something but maybe I'll put a Touratech catalog in front of him which should keep him distracted and change it myself. Thanks again for the input.

He should have some time to make changes while his BMW is at the repair shop. That bike will likely provide him with multiple opportunities to focus on tweaks to the show.

Funny how this podcast really confirmed some stereotypes. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the show.

Ok.

Now I have listened to #1, #2, #3 and #4 while washing the bike.

For a first off, not bad. Keep it up. You'll get better as you go. I know your are limited at the moment.

So what would keep me involved?

You are doing Adventure riding. - Good.

Be good at that. Plenty of IBA, racing, MX stuff out there. A few hour long BMW adds dressed up as "shows". Try not to be too "YAMAHA add" but as they say if it's OK for them. Take a recorder and interview Adventure people you bump into. Ask them about their gear, what got them started etc. Make it a people show not a pop start show, but remember pop stars are people too.

Interview some Serious adventure riders (TravellingStrom, Motorbikin' folk, Davide Biga, Nick Sanders, DCStrom (from this site) etc, Some normal folk (Rem, pluric, DaFoole, Dirt Dad and some Vox pops about Adventure riding from the general population, that should be fun. Get them to try and pronounce Tenere :)

There is a huge Tenere convention coming up in Switzerland and the US. Talk to them.

Good humour so far. Keep taking the piss a bit. Don't get too serious. ;D

Cut back on the beer a bit, "a good beer/place/road we found" segment(s) would be good though. I Googled you through your last trip and that was good.

I know it's a lot of work, but remember Adventure riding is Global. Accept stuff from other people if they are nice enough to do that for you. Remember them on the way up. Be kind to your knees. :D I'm starting to sound like this...http://www.mikharam.com/

Not being from the USA, but speaking English I tend to fade away after nothing but US based stuff. It's a big Adventure world out there.

Keep being yourselves. You guys sound natural. Don't get too "corporate slick"

Good effort so far. ::008::

I enjoy the free form aspect a lot, it makes for much better off the cuff content and is more like guys hanging out and talking, because that's exactly what it is....

I tend to dislike shows of any kind that try a formula, you know like chopping the hour up into specific topics like gear, riding, what's new, etc...

Keep it real

sorry I don't get it.
If I'm mistaken here, these guys are doing it for the fun of it, let them do it.
If people listen, great. They aren't pushing a product, or trying to sell us on something...

crap I forgot,

::012:: Someone called me normal. Guess my court mandated therapist was wrong! WooHoo!

I've gone back and listened to #1, #2 and part of #3.

I have to agree with GrahamD, listening to people talking about drinking beer as I'm stuck in Washington, DC rush hour traffic isn't helping me. I shouldn't be wishing I had a beer as I'm trying to squeeze or slice my way through heavy traffic. Much like bowling it's more fun to participate than it is to watch/listen to other's partake. Also too much Oregon specific information would encourage me to eventually lose interest. I like GrahamD's idea of worldwide info, and fortunately people like him and many others are already here.

I'm enjoying the shows. It does seem like many of the adventure gatherings where we all sit around and talk adventure bikes. Something that has been missing in the podcast world since Swingset (stromtrooper) stopped doing his dual sport podcast.

Keeping it off the cuff casual seems like a good formula, but could result in a challenge to have fresh material after a few more episodes. Being up on what's happening in the community, as well as what new bikes or gear is coming down the pike may keep the conversation rolling.

I'm planning to have Dirt Mom listen to parts of the first two episodes. I always like to highlight when riders drop their bikes. She can be a little sensitive to that and I take every opportunity to reinforce that it happens to everyone.

Keep 'em coming. The podcast is a good addition to my regular rotation. ::008::

That's more than washing GrahamD. WTH?
:D

Every time the bike dried there was more red mud oozing out of somewhere. That bull dust gets into everything. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;D

Any way, No 4 while washing the bike. IE I could have missed some stuff in #4. ::024::

Gave the episodes a listening. So far, good start. I have to admit I'm a Wheel Nerds fan, but they don't really cover large adventure bikes too much.

One thing I'm wondering: Why you falling over so much? You do know the seat can be adjusted to a "low" setting? :p

I'm a short guy with shorter legs. I'm not to worried about dropping the bike and there is always a great story of why the bike fell and lessons learned I'm not the greatest rider out there and I'm willing to go or do things that I probably shouldn't but to me that's part of the journey. As long as nobody get hurt and I have a smile on my face it won't bother me.

psst... Hero Member status simply refers to the number of posts someone has made on the site. It happens somewhere between 400 and 650, not sure the actual count when it flips. Hang around, you too can be a hero.

You guys are off to a good start. #6 was a good show, and not just because you recognized me as a hero (although it probably didn't hurt). ::003::
