I love that skidplate skunkworks but how much? I guess it's pricey. Never seen one in uk
It is from T-Rex Racing. A company in Texas.
https://www.t-rex-racing.com/2012-2018-Yamaha-Super-Tenere-Skid-Plate-p/n77-12sp.htm
It shows as $254.95 USD with free shipping, but I'm not sure about shipping to the UK?

Installation was really easy for the Skid-Plate, however some folks have reported difficulty installing their Crash-Bars with it.
I have different Crash-Bar setup, and had no issues mounting them.

Weather was finally out of a deep freeze to the mid 50s. Don't know why but decided to ride north on the Garden State Deathway and visit my Grandmother and a few uncles and aunts at Westwood Cemetery in Oradel, NJ. Been 30 years since I last visited. I couldn't even find their headstones. It wasn't a morbid ride but always saying, 'I have to make time to go,' then never going. Today was the day. About time i paid my respects. (Picture was at a different cemetery 5 miles away. At least now it will be easier to visit)20190204_120145.jpg20190204_131419.jpg

Nice tyres, I run the OEMs until they need to be replaced.
I got approximately 15,500 KM (9,000 miles) on my OEM tyres with my Africa Twin. All city- highway very little gravel.
What can I expect of the Battle Wing tyres?

I just dismounted my original battle wings. I've got 12.5k on the bike. Not the original owner. Bought the bike with 8k on it. As far as I know that was all 2 up ridding. They traveled Europe for most of a year on their honeymoon. Yes the bike has a lot of great storytelling. Wish it could talk.

The spark plugs after 26,000 miles. A little dirty, but evenly so, and the electrodes fine, or am I missing something bad?
And definitely some signs of water intrusion into the leftmost plug at some time, but not enough to cause any rust.

Mine looked the same, maybe a bit lighter and no sign of water intrusion. I installed a fender extender shortly after purchase however.

Hmmmmm, I'm real envious. We hit a high of 6 C or about 43 F today.
Our bikes are all in storage, too much salt and sand on the roads.

So glad you do the conversion for us south of the border. I always try to do it in my mind but unfortunately a few degrees off. Hang in there spring is coming.

Oh man, I don’t think my bike has been that clean since it rolled out of the dealership in 204

Today I put in a K&N air filter. The old one was only 6000 miles old, but after install I fired her up and I think it was the best start since I bought the bike, instant with no trace of lumpiness as it warmed up to tick-over.

I've had these bunjees for years and I finally have a use for them.

Same thing sort of thing arrived this week. Going to try these out in a “cost effective” test to see how they do in comparison to the E0-7 I have been running.

I love shinkos. I run one on the front and it pairs well with the E07 on the rear. I've also run both of those 804/805's and find I got about 8k out of the rear.
