Since I got this bike, it always seemed to me that the Side-Stand was too short.
The bike seems like it's leaned WAY over when parked on level ground. It is even worse if it sinks a little in soft ground.

I fixed it today!

Scrap piece of Composite Decking.

Trace the shape of the Side-Stand Foot.

Use my Dremel with Router attachment and wood-chisel to carve out the inside.

Make it a little smaller, and round off the corners.

I was originally going to clamp it on from the top, but then decided to bolt it on from the bottom.
Drilled and tapped the Side Stand with (2) 8mm x 1.25 holes.

Went to ACE Hardware and got (2) stainless-steel screws. Drill holes to counter-sink them.

Mounted to the Side-Stand.

Sits better!
It's not leaned over as far, and the bigger Foot won't sink into soft ground as much.
And it was Cheap!

And just so folks know Texas has cold wintery days. This picture was overcast and felt seriously cold even though the temp on the dash was 59. I must be a wimp...

Hmmmmm, I'm real envious. We hit a high of 6 C or about 43 F today.
Our bikes are all in storage, too much salt and sand on the roads.

The roads are pretty crappy here as well. On Wed and Thur we had a high of 10 F with high wind gusts. It's amazing that it was so warm and sunny today.
