Not had a puncture on three bikes it’s fitted to inc my S10. Doing 2 heavy off road weekends in Wales in the last two weekends of April so that will put it to the test.
Did it? Did you have a puncture that was sealed by the material or did you just not have any punctures at all? The latter point proves nothing unless perhaps the bikeseal goop actually claims to avoid punctures in the first place.

Kind of like the joke I like to tell about my dog. He barks at all the airplanes and so far we've not had a single one land in our yard. Good dog!

Not to the Teenere exactly, but in prep for an Eggsanity 1000 http://www.ironbutt.com/eggsanity/ next weekend (Waffle House near Atlanta, Huddle House near St Louis, and back to the first WH), I'm cleaning my gear. So, I'm hanging out at the Laundromat this morning. Wash and Dry with Nikwax Tech Wash and then Wash-In DWR. After that, back to the house to clean the helmet liner (pee-yewww).

On our first Alaska trip way back in 2007, myself and another member of our group wound up having rear tires that needed air added two days in a row, there were lots of stone cuts in our tires from the sharp gravel up there, so we stopped at a Walmart and bought a yellow colored bottle of tire sealant, it seemed similar the Slime but it was a different name brand and color, when I got home the tire was warn out but it had never leaked again, the tire sealant was plenty easy to washout with a garden hose, I would definitely use it again in the right situation.

New tires fitted this morning.
MotoZ Tractionator GPS
First time I try 50/50 tires. Pretty happy after a short break in run.

Yes, all attachments were removed, stripped down to only the aluminum plate before powder coating. I was worried the coating might interfere with the latching mechanism.

I just sent mine for satin black powder coating today, I hope to have it back tomorrow. A friend of mine has a powder coating business that he does on the side. Why I asked about removing the rear latch is I thought it was riveted on. Upon closer inspection I see it is attached with machine screws with a plastic plug stuck into the hex heads. I just popped them out with an awl. They use some strong thread lock as well. I had to heat it up with my heat gun to soften it enough to break the screws free.

A friend and I put ours through together to get the best use of the minimum set up charge, we tried to match the black OEM panniers best we could. The powder coater and my friend settled on a satin 20% gloss and I think that pretty much nailed it. Be careful reinstalling the little forward mounting studs. They are evidently aluminum and can crack pretty easily if over-tightened DMFHIK! (Don't Ask My Friend How I Know)

Now they look good. ::008:: Could you keep us posted as to how well they do on tarmac? Most of my long distance riding is two up on european roads, with some gravel around the Alps area. I'm running Mitch. PR 4's at the moment.

Well, today I broke shit on my S10. Left work for an appt. in extremely high winds which pushed me and the bike over at a red light breaking the left hand guard. Luckily nothing broke when I was blown into a ditch on the way back to my office immediately following the tip over. All in a matter of 2 miles and 15 minutes. ???

After 60k miles over the last 4 years that was a first. I've ridden a ton in high, Colorado winds but never experienced that.

Winds can be a problem on these high adventure bikes. That was one of the first differences I noticed with mine verses my Road Glide, it is much more sensitive to crosswinds. The Harley takes them in stride due to it weighing over 900 lb dry and it sits much lower.

For sure and the S10 is way better than my Vstrom was. 40 mph cross wind wth a major gust took me out. After about 30 degrees of lean it pulled me over and I’m 6’2” 255 lbs so no lightweight. Crazy day.

Darn I just had a call on my rack. There was a power outage to part of the city today for about 8 hours. Guess what? He lives in that part of the city and because of the power going off the powder coating didn't melt completely. He is going to have to strip it all off and redo it. :(

Have been startet twice during the winter, just because I needed to hear it ::001::
Had a trickle charger (Ctek) on it the whole time.

Last year this time I already rode 5000 miles. I will be lucky if I have 200 miles now. The weather sucks. Not too bad tho. I am getting ready to order some goodies...
