Not sure if everyone has seen this, but I have a habit of keeping a bunch of zipties on the bike for whatever comes up.

Simple to install and forget till you need them on the front forks.






Put one loosely around your fork tube, then slide a good handful of zipties underneath it. When you think you have enough, add a few more and tighten up the one up top. Then put another on the bottom to secure them in place.

As you use them tighten up the two holders and cut off/replace when you need to restock.

Like your idea and might use it.

I keep zip ties in multiple places... under the seat, DSBP box, side case, tire repair bag under the rear rack.

*** Yesterday I visited a Big Lots and they had various size zip ties at a reasonable price.
