Well, I'm done with my Alaska trip ;D

12901 miles, 34 days on the road, two rear tires, one front tire

3 oil changes, temporary oil leak on the front forks, lots of gas, good day averages of 47/48mpg, really bad day averages included 38mpg towards Dawson Creek and the worst ever traveling towards Denali National Park at 36mpg

Not a single problem with the bike ;D well, except for the temporary front fork leaks ::)

Have only written the first 7 days, too many pictures and notes to sort out

The first 7 days of the trip are here

Yes, well done, it is a solfeggio frequency ::003::

I first spotted you at Jasper, I was on the roof eating. Then we officially met at Glacier by the entrance store. Then we caught up at the top of Logan pass.

After that I went to Yellowstone through that nasty storm and then another one ::012:: And you went to SD if I recall correctly.

storms from a distance

Now I remember you ::008::

I like your forum name ::008::
The frequency assigned to Mi (for "Miracles"), 528 Hz, is said by proponents of the idea to be the exact frequency used by genetic engineers throughout the world to repair DNA

How was the return trip? What do you think of Beartooth Pass?

I caught a little rain coming out of Glacier and then hung around St. Mary until the storm passed and the rain stopped.
Left St Mary and spent the night in Great Falls :)

If you ever in NJ, I'm in Jackson, send me a message, there's nice roads in south Jersey ::008::

Thanks :)

I used either my Sony pocket camera or my Canon T3i ;D

All the pictures taken while riding are obviously with my little Sony camera ;)

Yes, I saw you by the gas pumps at Marys on the way out. I busted a righty there, went up the hill, put my rain gear, filmed some nice lightnings and clouds and then went right into it. It was pretty messy ::012:: I stopped about 100 miles away from Yellowstone that night.

Going through the Yellowstone park itself was kind of boring compared to Canadian Rockies and Glacier in terms of scenery. I had 2 exciting run-ins with bisons on the way out of the park heading to Cooke city, so that pretty much made the day. I stopped at a cabin there for a few days to explore the area. Met another forum member there, can't recall his name. He spotted my ST from the road and stopped by to investigate. I believe he was from Utah. Lots of nice off-roading in the area. BT pass itself to me was more interesting mostly closer to the top where those sharp twisties are where you can look down and see the abyss beneath as well as pretty much all of the descend towards Red Lodge. I made some very nice HD footage there. Great views of the road, mountains, mud slide tracks, etc. First day I went to the top. It was raining, windy and cold. Still a good experience. On the way back to the cabin I went off the road here and there seeking an encounter with the grizzly bear. None met ::001::

Heading back to NY was interesting, I outran the rain in ND, missed rain by Minneapolis it was just starting, got to Milwaukee after the rain had stopped, pulled into the garage in Chicago and it rained half hour later. A few days later I headed for NY, caught some heavy rain in eastern Ohio and pretty much through central PA.

I may be going off-roading/camping to Wharton SF this Saturday-Sunday. Haven't been there in a while.
What else you have there by you?
