If you don't like motorcycles and fun, then please read no further.

Otherwise:

You are invited to participate in a rally that is like no other!

The goals of this rally are simple:

  • Awesome value at only $49.69 (and it includes a money back guarantee).
  • Promote riding during winter months via self-guided bonus collection.
  • Provide a new and very unique bonus collection experience with (near)real-time scoring.
This rally will start on Jan 12 and finish on May 12 (yes, that is 4 months).

There will be three bonus listings to be released at different times (the first is already out).

There will be a banquet in Nevada at the conclusion of the rally. Those not able to attend the banquet will have their shirt/awards/swag sent to them.

Bonuses are spread all over the USA. Wherever you live, you will have access to bonuses.

121 total points will be needed to reach "Finisher" Status. Those able to get out for a few weekends during the winter have a very good chance of reaching this score.

Let me see if I've got this straight. I pay you $49.69, then I ride to a bunch of dots you put on map in order to get 121 points after which I will be declared a "finisher". For my $49.69 I get two t shirts and a laminated paper plaque. I think the biggest goal of this "rally" is to transfer money from my wallet to yours. If I were to pay $49.69 to participate in this "event" and get 121 points I would declare myself a "sucker". ::007::

PS On your web site the banquet doesn't seem to be included with the entry fee.

No, Elwood, -you don't have it straight.

But thank you for sharing your thoughts as there possibly are others who are thinking the same as you. Others who haven't participated in this type of rally and aren't familiar with the typical cost associated with. Those who have, know that $49.69 is a fraction of the cost compared to others.

BMR is trying some new things, things that are not the norm (visible and real-time bonus collection, (near)real-time scoring etc etc....

Not to mention a long (4mos) duration. We also did a few things in an attempt to make it appealing to the Adventure Touring crowd: a.) winter time-frame b.) some very remote locations and most all bonuses are rural c) we are not handicapping bikes that don't have monsterous fuel cells or aux lighting etc. Finally, self guided as to allow folks time to do their own exploring.

Elwood, it is obvious that this rally is not for you, and certainly no crime in that.
But as the guy who is putting this on, and very proud of what we're doing -I take your criticism to heart. So, I'd like to offer you a deal: You are welcome to run this rally for the actual cost per rider. Currently that is tracking at about $74.55

Respectfully,

RenoJohn

The concept is Pure Effin' Genius & thinking outside the box.

Let's apply existing real time technology with aspects of an endurance rally and cross pollinate it with the balkanized tag-o-ramas that are running in the ADVrider Regionals.

$49.69 is a drop in the water compared the time that you would need and the money you could spend properly setting up for a Utah 1088, MERA 10n10 or Ironbutt Rally.

For one, I am in hook, line, & sinker.

Check out the teaser for the Big Money Rally's Seven-Eleven Ride. This is going to be fun! 700 miles in 11 hours. All in Utah and Nevada on a dedicated route to be released later. Starts in Salt Lake City and is all daylight riding. Good way to test your skills for maintaining a Bun Burner Gold pace if you haven't done a BBG before, because the stopped time will really matter on this ride. Pretty much set up as a donation method for a great cause too. ::008::
