Yes indeed, very nice. For 38 years before moving to Florida I lived in the Hudson Valley near Kingston/Rhinebeck and would get down that way often. The Roebling Aqueduct alone is worth the trip(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roebling%27s_Delaware_Aqueduct). Just north of that loop is the site of the Woodstock concert, Bethel NY(RT 52), I'd stop in to see if I could find that roach I left behind in '69! ::025::

Off the west end of your loop, starting near the town of Fishs Eddy is RT 30 N. It's a beautiful ride thought a valley to Downsville then around the Pepacton Res. on to RT 28. Take RT 28 east to Big Indian then RT 47 south to Grahamsville. This is one of my very favorite rides in the Catskills. Very little traffic, good roads, nice scenery... There's a general store/deli on RT 47 in Big Indian that makes a great sandwich, it was our regular lunch stop..

In Virginia is harder than it sounds. There are certainly many, many wonderful roads in Virginia, but the enthusiastic enforcement of draconian speeding laws makes the state less enjoyable than it should be.

Candidates for favorite include:

Scenic
Skyline Drive - beautiful but 140 mile of 35 MPH is pretty rough
Blue Ridge Parkway - Virginia has a mix of very beautiful, and very boring on this iconic road.
Rt 58 East of Damascus

Twisty
Rt 211 between Luray and Sperryville
Rt 33 West of Harrisonburg near the WV boarder
Rt 250 West of Stauton near WV boarder

So favorite road in Virginia?...depends on my mood. Favorite scenic, Rt 58. I do love a mountain stream. Favorite twisty, Rt 33, but always best to continue it into WV.

We have similar riding in my part of Florida, not corn field but citrus orchards. BORING.....
Citrus trees are in bloom now so it worth the ride just for the nose treat....... and to snitch a few fruit for fresh squeezed juice.

I grew up around Citrus orchards in Florida we had to ride through them to get to our local motocross track.
The son of a local grower owned a YZ 250 they had some serious heavy equipment to build a track for us kids, Yankees the locals called us northern kids..
After we went tear assing all day we would park and gorge ourselves on Oranges or pink grapefruit.
The growers and local cattle ranchers sold out to the big subdivision developers and as I remember the end of some good memories with good friends.
So yes Paul take a ride and enjoy those orange blossoms, during sunset is best. ::008::

I'm still undecided, all the roads around here almost look the same, up and down passes, left right twisties, a few hills and the odd view..........

I used to ride to Julian all the time for Apple pie. Great ride. Now living in Florida little compares to those roads. Should be in Hawaii in a little less than a year, I think there should be some good roads out there

As other have inferred... most Californian's have many roads to choose from. I live in flat Sacramento and have to ride a few, not many, flat roads to get to some of the best in California. The West Side of Berryessa has become a favorite. The Upper West Side is a protected area and the road is rough and narrow with eleven weirs. That empties onto the Morgan Valley Rd which is very wide, good surface, a lot of elevation gain and loss, fast (not me the road). The to and from is agriculture land, vineyards, and beautiful roads. This ride is a full day of fun, beauty, and an occasional Eyes Wide Open moment.

Speaking of Morgan Tim; have you ever come across Morgan Territories Rd? Between Marsh Creek Rd, almost to Clayton, and south to Manning Rd, on the northern outskirts of Livermore. It's only 15 miles, but a fun little run to throw into a loop somewhere.

I ride it when connecting SR-160 (River Road) and Lick Observatory and sometimes to loop back to SR-160 (River Road)

Morgan was empty when I went through.
Last time I was up there, the Junction was still open. Dan and I went up San Antonio from the San Jose side. He'd never been.

Either highway 12 in Utah or highway 12 in Idaho for pavement. Beautiful scenery, about 100 miles of twisty sweepers, Utah is over the Hogsback which is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Both have little traffic. Oh, the roads in the Black Hills, SD are awesome tight twisties but it is hard to find them not crowded with slow-motion tourists (or HD's).

Off pavement? Maybe the road from Copper Harbor, MI to the tip of the Keewenaw Peninsula. Or the Burma Road to Copper Basin then up and over to Antelope (Idaho).

OK, I'm looking those up for future reference!
Let's add OH-514 between Danville and Shreve.
