Found this on another forum and thought it was quite funny so I thought I'd post it here: -

Silver
dull as dish water, reduced bhp tourer ideal for the older gentleman as a precursor to a pan european, retirement, bed wetting and the big sleep, comes with a set of panniers ideal for Horlicks transportation.

Blue
god forbid you stand out from the crowd in fact you didn't even realize Yamaha did other colours but are very happy with your safe decision, now your off to get some low fat non butter spread to go in your vegetarian tofu sawdust bean wrap

Black
An educated connoisseur's choice who has an understanding of bikes, great ability on them, hung like a horse, and the good looks and humour to make all woman damp in the gusset at a mere glimpse. :D :D :D

I've owned several (well, maybe more than several) of each of those colors - plus other colors including green, red, maroon, yellow, orange, gray and gold. Maybe even some I don't remember.....

Enjoyed them all!!!

Oh, one color I forgot - white!! I had a '82 Yamaha Seca Turbo that was originally silver and I had it repainted a pearl white!!

I've had silver, black, blue and beige camo (Honda Ruckus).
Current colors are orange and black.
I could have changed out the orange side panels on the KTM when I got hit but I didn't. I replaced the damaged left panel with another orange one. I did upgrade the lower cowling from orange plastic to carbon fiber.
