Damn, and I thought I lived in a hillbilly ass place, but even we don't have trees in the street. :D I'm assuming that when the street was originally paved, it was much narrower. Built in D.W.I. checkpoint. With signs of past failures.

Wow...welcome back. And riding a Tenere again. Nice to see you here.
Ha! Thanks. Yes, I have returned, and on a 2014 Super Tenere.

A lot has happened in our lives since last I saw you... that was probably in 2013? 2014?

We moved to California in 2016; been here for 5 years now.

As part of our 5 year plan after getting here, we intended to move to east Tennessee this year. To get ready for that, and thin out household stuff for the move, I sold all three motorcycles with intent to buy new ones once we got settled out there. As it would happen though, the plans changed and we decided to stay out here in California... necessitating new motorcycles, ASAP! I had never really loved my 2012 S10 but I knew that all the stuff I disliked about it had been tweaked for the 2014+ models, and I wanted something maybe halfway between an R1200GS and a DL1000, that had shaft drive and CC... so the 2nd gen S10 was a good fit. I just picked it up 2 days ago (900 mile road trip) and just got it out of the garage post-tinkering earlier today!

So I'm just reacquainting myself with the forum.

How are you?

All good here. I've kept up with you as much as possible through Steve and Brian. Yes, i still hang out with your old Ohio crew as much as possible.

Really pleased to see you back here. Take a look around and you'll see there's a Tenere event in SD in July. I'm going to see if I can drag some of the Ohio guys out to it.
