I'm so hungry, I rode 67 miles for some pancakes and bacon in Crown King. 40 on pavement and 27 on dirt one way. I'll post pictures of the food when I get it.

Pretty sure if I attempt to take a picture of the helicopter pad less than a mile from my house I would quickly have an opportunity to explain the MOTO-TAG game to some people wearing guns. Better ride farther.

The field about 250 yards from my back window is used as an emergency heliport for Mt. Rescue - this was on opening day of their new facility a couple of years ago.

What is this "Google" of which you speak?

(if Paddle Boards (SUP) or Kayaks count I could grab it in ten minutes. but once again as with the heliport... too easy!)

One of those local spots specifically calls them "paddle board boats" for rent. Probably has great signage too.

Ayeahhh. If I was going to do it, I'd go up to the "Yacht Club" at Ruedi... now THAT'S a worthy ride, up the Frying Pan... :-\

I just looked that road up...I'd be on that in a second. Looks like a lot of cool roads on the area

One of the prettiest canyons in Colorado, and world-class fishing to boot. If you're adventurous/foolish, you can continue up over Hagerman Pass on 4WD road to Leadville. I did it on a mt. bike, loaded with camping gear, a gazillion years ago. I did "Crooked Creek Pass" on the Super Tenere two years ago... to Eagle.
