Chris,
Are you planning to travel up and ride the Ann Arbor event? The page you posted shows a ride near Baltimore that weekend too. Both for the same charity. If you are doing the local ride I'd like to join. If you're looking to rally in Michigan then i wonder if there any other riders in the area interested in meeting at the Baltimore event?

cb0802,

Yes, I'm planning on riding to the Ann Arbor event - it has a dual sport component to it, which sounds fun! For anyone interested in doing the trip to Ann Arbor from the metro DC area or along the way, it is a pretty straightforward ride, and if you've been wanting to do your first SaddleSore 1000, it's a perfect combination.

Best,

Chris

I am interested in Joining the ride and your team. Let me know what is the best way to connect with your team.

Thanks
SuperDaveTen,

That's awesome! Best way to ride with us is to click the "Join our team" link on the team page at: http://pbtf.convio.net/site/TR/2013RideforKids/General?team_id=2650&pg=team&fr_id=1331

You'll get asked for a password, which is "diehards" (Tenere forum term for folks who did PDP program and waited it out).

After that you'll get the usual kind of fillable form, and will be good to go.

Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday morning - wfopete has been awesome about getting info on the ride - will forward it to you.

Best,

Chris

Had a great time catching up with Pete and David at the Ride for Kids event in Ann Arbor on Sunday. Really enjoyed meeting both of you, (and Mrs. wfoPete!) and the ride.

Pete did an awesome job navigating the roll chart map without a roll chart holder. I don't think we took one wrong turn the whole 80ish mile ride.

The Yamaha Super Tenere Forum Team raised $550 for this incredibly worthwhile and very donation efficient (85% of donated funds get put to work on research) charity.

Hearing one of the families talk about their son's experience was totally heartbreaking. If this ride comes up again next year, I will definitely do my best to attend.

Count on my support EVERYTIME!

Oh, and tell the truth........
Pete's bike has dirt on it. Doesn't it? Haha
He thinks he is so stealthy.

Snake -

Pete is an awesome guy. His bike had less dust on it than ours by the end of the day, since he was out front. :)

Hopefully you can make it up for the ride next year!

Best,

Chris
