Hi, my bike came with 2 year warranty, I wanted to buy 3 more so that I am covered for 5 years. Dealer is offering me 2 more years for $500 or 3 more years for $600. I checked YES website but my VIN no. Is not showing yet. Search here didn't show me any pricing information.
How much do some of you guys paid for 5 years of YES coverage.
Thanks

Got the special price of $300 for 4 years, making it total 5 year of YES coverage.

Make sure to check your Y.E.S. paperwork when Yamaha mails you the confirmation. My dealer made a mistake, something to do about the extra year warranty Yamaha had a promotion on. I called the Y.E.S. number the lady was very helpful and had new papers mailed to me after they checked with my dealer. I purchased the extra 3 years for $300 so I had 5 years of coverage not 4 as the original paper had.

Thanks Buffalobrit, I will check the paperwork. How long does it take to get the paperwork from Yamaha.

Re: Yamaha Extended Service pricing for Washington residents

I saw on a discount Ebay site and the official Yamaha site that Washington state residents must buy from a WA dealer...something to do with the WA laws. So if this is the case anyone know of a $414 deal in WA? I tried to check further if this is enforced but I have not bought the bike yet so no VIN.

Any WA residents confirm this...dont want to pay too much.

Silver fin, once you get the bike, I will call YES and they will tell you what the special is. I was told the special was at least through end of September.

Hey Guls

Does that special price apply to 2014 bikes or only older leftovers. I am getting a 2014 non ES in September...that is a great price ...especially if i can get it in Washington state...Thanks!

I'm not Guls, but I do get the official notifications from Yamaha on their promotions, so I can tell you the special is part of the incentive program on leftover 2012 and 2013 models only. The incentive includes $1200 in Yamaha accessories and a 2 year warranty in place of the standard 1 year warranty. If you want to extend that to a total of 5 years, the suggested list price is $300 for the additional 3 years. This does not apply to the 2014 models. On August 1, they did announce a $500 customer cash incentive on the 2014 Super Teneres, though.

My dealer also shorted me by one year. So far, two months later dealing with the dealer, they haven't fixed it yet. Guess the next step is to call yamaha.

PM returned silverfin.

Since the law change, WA (like FL) residents are screwed regarding purchasing extended warranties. I checked it out and the only way around this is to change your bike's address of record with Yamaha prior to purchasing the warranty. Easily doable if you have friends in an adjacent state but a PITA nonetheless.

I just received this when I bought my bike last night. Dealer marked 48 months on the YES coverage for $300. I wonder if that means I will get the 2 years (1 factory + 1 promotional) plus 48 months for a today of 6 years? Wishful thinking?
