They are Single shocks? Your choice would be better.

Works makes good stuff. Bought my first set of shocks from 'em back in 1975, and it was the first of many. Visited their shop in 1976 and met Gil and the whole crew. Really dedicated bunch of guys, and happy to build anything you can imagine. Latest set of Works Performance shocks I have is on our AHRMA National Championship winning 125 CZ MX'er. They're definitely better than the Ohlins "vintage legal" shocks (here's a pic of the Ohlins I'm referring to):

We've used the Ohlins on the 250's for a while now, but Ohlins couldn't build us what we needed for the 125, so we went with the Works. They are so much better we are planning to get some for the 250's as the Ohlins work their way toward rebuild time.

Just an FYI... The same guy who did the subject of this thread has built another cool and unique take on a Yamaha V-twin - http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=9635

And for you folks that might be interested, I've found that "Doc's Chops" is now called "Hageman Motorcycles" - http://hagemanmc.com/ - after the owner/builder, Greg Hageman.

Make sure you make note of the "Hageman" logo... Looks just like the original Yamaha DT-1 tank badge, doesn't it?

It's worth checking out his "Current" and "Past" projects. The guy definitely has a unique eye.

Wife rode the standard 2014 Bolt at a local motorcycle show (2014 Orlando, Fl)

She is 5'7" and she hated the size.
Almost turned around before leaving the parking lot, but did not and did the 15 minute test ride.

She loves the way it looks but she told me unless you are about 5'4" you need to test ride before you buy.

Love the scramble look and the 950 cc size

Wicked cool bike. I hate to spoil the party but has anyone other than Harry Dresden's wife ridden one? I have not so have no opinion but don't know how much fun the Bolt actually would be?

My wife, a very accomplished rider, sat on it, started to move it for a test ride, never made it out of the parking lot. HATED it. She wants a Ducati Scrambler though! Very heavy steering, awkward fit. She just felt it was a parts bin bike that didn't work.

I test rode one late last year. It was just ok. The seating position would have to be changed. If I had one I would want to make it a Bobber with a fat front tire. Something for Around Town but... there are so many motorcycles that can be Bobber'd and you don't need a new motorcycle to do this.

I really like the DT look. My first new motorcycle was a 1972 DT2 250 purchased in late 1971 in Okinawa for $600.

No thank you, it looks like another goofy poser to me... with too much wheelbase. The only wretchro bike I find pretty enough to consider is the V7 Guzzi, it's a slow chuffer but still fun and it just looks proper. My old fart bike will be something more inline with a KTM 690 Duke, light and competent, not fat n goofy. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... and I say some of us need fugn glasses!! :D

I have ridden the little Guzzi. A very likable bike. Gear change is a bit esoteric though. I am sure you would quickly get used to it. ;D

Like the Guzzi ::008:: I've had three Guzzi's in the past and I may have another before I'm done, but not as an 'only bike'...
