I found the OEM to be the most uncomfortable seat I have ever had to suffer. I tried an AirHawk without success, and had the OEM restuffed by a local boat upholsterer and that improved it. They added an extra inch of foam (although this was compressed to nearer 1/2" when the cover was reinstalled. It took it from a half hour seat to a 45 minute seat. They did a really good job and it was inexpensive too. It wasn't good enough for the mileage I do though, so after considerable internet research I bit the bullet and had a Russell Day Long made. I sourced a new pair of seats in the USA which cost less than just the front one over here in the UK, got them to ship it direct to Russell Day Long and had hem recover it and ship it to me. As it's classed as a repair you don't pay import duty. It wasn't cheap, but having put 20,000 miles or more on it in around a year I've got to say it was the best investment I've ever made. It might not be pretty in some peoples eyes, but I'm more than happy with it. I can now ride until I'm out of fuel, refill and not wince at the thought of getting back on it. If you can afford it I would say it's the only way to go. I found no alternative that didn't get some bad reviews apart from Russell Day Long.
