FYI on the center stand. When I got the bike I could not get the thing on the stand. I was heaving away and I all I thought about was 'I am going to end up in a snotty pile on the floor if I keep going'. I figured there had to be a technique to this. You should not have to muscle the thing up. I was right. Youtube was my friend. It is all about the leverage. I weigh 155 lbs soaking wet and 5'8" tall. Bike in Neutral I stand on the foot piece balancing the bike and increase my weight until I am full weight on the stand and it is starting to move and pulling up on the passenger grab handle. It goes in slow motion. I do have to this with the bags removed as I cannot get close enough to the bike for my liking with the left bag on. Hope this helps.
PS The Video I found was a Guy on a 800 GS but the technique is the same.

Do not leave the bike in gear when lifting on the center stand as a potential hernia op awaits. The rear wheel grabs the ground and interferes with the rearward movement neccessary to get the the bike up, I found out the hard way and pulled a few muscles in my lower back a while back (bruised up a treat). Put it in neutral as even with clutch in there seems to be a bit of drag when moving the bike.

Guys

Many thanks for all the feedback. I'll add one to my next Hepco & Becker order and see how it goes ::008::

From the pictures of the lift handle installed, I wonder if the handle is too far forward to really assist with leveraging ones weight to the centerstand on the S10. I use the rear grab rail to lift up while pushing down with my weight and foot on the centerstand assist bar. I would like to get some feedback when someone installs one. Anyone else have the same or differing thought on the position of the subject lift handle?
