Wiring question for Symtec Grip Heaters using OEM plug

I'm installing Symtec grip heaters using the OEM square 4 wire plug on the right side of the bike.

I plan on using the black for ground and black/green for power (when bike is running)...I'll leave the other two wires alone.

Is this plug fused and/or relayed somewhere?

I wasn't planning on installing a relay, although I have used them in the past.

If so, which fuse is it and what size should I use for the grip heaters?

It is fused with the 'signaling' fuse - brake lights, turn signals, etc.

There should be no need to up-size the fuse or put in a relay, since it was designed to support the electrical load of the OEM heated grips.

My heated grips are connected the same way except I used the blue/black wire, so I could turn on the grips with the ignition on but the bike not running.

The Heated Grips are usually fused. ::001::

I thunk that as well, which fuse? Cant find one that is labeled for them. Oh wait................


EDIT:

I found the plug and found the 12 dc on/off with the key, just wanted to verify which other one to use for ground. Where can i get a good wiring diagram?

final update, went to my dealer and he had a box of old connectors, found one for the grips and another for the aux light. I am not sure what the light blue wire does but I hooked the on that comes on/off with the key switch to my USB adapter, and the other (that comes on with a start) to my grip heaters. So far so good, may reroute the wires for the heaters.


My next one will be the aux lights, I am thinking about getting the baja leds under the stock lights. Anyone know if it will work low/hi beam using the plug?
