Can someone please point me to a thread with pics showing where the headlight low beam output wire is at the relays within the battery compartment? as I need this to switch the coil on my relay I have fitted for my LED spotlights, I cuurently have a kill switch mounted on the handlebars but it's not ideal as I keep forgetting to switch the feckers off (Age related) many thanks if you can!!!! ::008::

Tap into the feed for the factory fitted LEDs. Bottom Right hand side of the battery should be 2 sockets. The one with 3 wires to it is for the lights. The other is for heated grips I believe. Dead easy matey. Just finishing mine off. New bracket tomorrow and they are finished!!

So that gives you an ignition controlled live or a head light main dip controlled live?

If you want to wire something to work in sync with your high beams, you need to tap the high beam trigger wire in the headlight harness to activate a relay.

I pointed Jono at that connection as he asked for the LOW beam wire so I assumed he just wanted switched power. Hence I thought it would be better off the OE light connector.

I probably didn't explain my needs very well, I got things sorted today with the 4 pin aux plug with the black wire with green tracer through it, it has the delay until the engine is started, the same as the low beam headlight ::008::

Struggling to find the connectors :(. Can anybody help further. Just fitted a couple of lights and would like to use the connections. Do I need a relay if the provision is already there ?

::015:: just found the connector after seeing a picture in another post. I am riding a 2014ES. So can i just put the 2 x 3w LED lights straight in or do I need a relay. I can talk it both ways to myself and so far seem to be loosing my own arguments. Thanks for any advice.

With 20A on that circuit you won't need a relay unless you want to link their function to your high beams or something.

For a trigger source you can use anything that comes on with the key, doesn't have to be the headlight.

True. And the easiest trigger wire is the cigarette lighter socket. Just remember that the wire is only thick enough for a 3 amp fuse so don't try to put real power (like lights) through it. Use a bigger fuse and you risk melting the more essential wires that it is bundled with.

If you're talking about the 3 pin connector near the battery, yes use a relay. The 20amp red wire is always hot, brown is 12v switched and black is ground.
