Welcome on, Trail Boss. You appear to be new to the Forum. Please post under Member Intros, so everyone will know you're a new guy and can welcome you aboard. I believe that Madstad and Motorradgarage are one in the same ?? Anyone ??? ? There is another North American one now, I think, but I don't remember the name. I have the Madstad and it works fine, but cost me a fortune getting it here from Australia or someplace far, far away. Again, ::004:: . R. ::022::

Madstadt and Motorradgarage (Wasp)are not the same. Thw Wasp designed unit is made in Australia and the Madstadt is made in the USA. I think they do about the same thing, but have read some feedback of the Madstadt unit's adjustable locking screws coming loose. My son has a Madstadt on his Wee Strom and loves it. I have the Wasp unit on my ST and love it. No coming loose once it is adjusted. The only downside of the Wasp unit, in my opinion is the shipping fee from Australia.

Thanks for clearing that up, fredz43. Hey, I'm old ... what can I say? I've got the one from Australia, whichever one that is. It seems to work well. R ::008::

Hmm! I've heard reviews of the Touratech adjusters coming loose, but this is the first I've heard of the Madsadt doing the same. Thanks.

I agree with Tenerator12...I've ridden quite a bit on Southern Alberta gravel [washboard] roads and have yet to have the Madstad come loose.

It's a great product. Will follow up if they do eventually loosen up.

I've got the Madstad, had it on several other bikes, excellent product and customer support.
Mark of Madstad is a 2 hour ride from me so I had the opportunity to visit, a great guy with a made in the USA product! ::008::

Regards, Paul

I may be mistaken, but I thought I read where japako had a problem with the Madstadt coming loose with his new V Stream mounted on it.

Is that correct, Jim, or am I screwed up on that point. As I mentioned, my son has the Madstadt on his Wee Strom with a Givi screen and he loves it.

Fred, I don't think it came loose. The combination of 75mph and 30mph head wind gust laid it all the way down. In normal riding I never had a problem with it. I mentioned this to National cycle, and they said if I didn't use the bracket, it should be ok. Duh.. ::025::

I don't think it is a major problem. I can say, the bike handled very nicely in the high winds

I have it on good authority that there are NO gravel roads in all of Alberta. Just pavement, suitable only for weenie riders on blue bikes. Can you confirm ??? R ::015::

AW: Windshield Adjustable Brackets

I have the touratech bracket and on mine the screws didnt come loose but at high speed it pushed back out of position.

Also the Demo S10 in the touratech headquarter in niedereschach has the plastic nuts exchanged with self locking nuts(don't know if thats the right term).

I would have taken the wasp bracket, but riding to the touratech hq and getting my farkle immediately was to tempting :)
