Bike shipped from Atlanta on Thursday. Might take possession this Friday if I'm lucky. Already have some things on order for it from Jaxon, so hopefully I'll get to spend Memorial Day tinkering.

Really excited to be stepping up to this bike. Actually, probably pretty lucky too. I'm coming from a Suzuki VL800 which I was riding at 50mph on Saturday with some buddies when a deer jumped right out in front of me. It happened so fast. I collided with the deer and dumped it. When I took stock of my limbs and bumps and bruises after my best Valentino Rossi impression, there was a tuft of deer hair lodged in the vent on my helmet but no major injuries. Leather jacket and gloves, logging boots, and some extra heavy double front Carhart's saved my hide. My neck was really sore (still is) so it must've been a helluva headbutt. :)

Anyway, glad to join the club. Very excited to rack up a lot of miles on this thing over the summer. And maybe some of the winter as I got the heated grips too.

Cheers,
Michael

Ps. It's a Raven.
Pss. Thanks to Hoebster for recommending Sportland Yamaha up in Cle Elum, WA. Fair price. Easy transaction. No typical dealer BS. Deal was done with the owner over the phone with a verbal handshake. I couldn't be happier so far.

Michael. Can't wait to have one more from the area on a Tenere. We had a blast this past weekend with 8 of us showing up, riding and having some BBQ!!! Let me know when you get it, and if you have any questions, please let me know.

Sounds like it's time to write that deer a thank you note ::016::

In all seriousness...congrats and glad you walked away mostly unhurt! I just picked mine up a few days ago and I'm loving it ::022::

Deer scare me more than anything else on the bike. Traffic is usually pretty predictable, even when it's moronic.

Thanks everyone. Can't wait! Bike is supposed to arrive tomorrow and I should be able to pick it up on Saturday. The accessories are just starting to arrive also. I've got a pile of toys just waiting to be bolted on this weekend.

Cheers!
