Can I ask you a question about the Kaoko throttle lock?
I have the same bike with OEM factory heated grips and hand guards.
Tried to install the Kaoko cruise control and could not find that happy spot. Seemed like the thing was going to fall off but if I tighten too much the throttle stuck. Any advise you could share would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Scott

You might want to message him. It shows he sold it 9JAN22. He may not visit here much. A message may be the quickest/easiest way to contact.

Sometimes when I take longer rides, day trips, etc., I have my KAOKO throttle lock installed on my '13
with the OEM heated grips and hand guards. If you bought the KAOKO brand new it should have included
three spacer washers. I found that you must use two of the spacers at least for proper clearance (I use all three).
If you do not have the spacers I can find out what size they are so you can go locally and pick yourself up
some. I may also have the original install instructions somewhere stored in my basement if needed.
LMK.

Yes I bought a used KAOKO for my previous 2013 and there were no spacer-washers with it but I found some at a Ace hardware store, it took a little monkey business to get everything working properly but I succeeded. But after riding with a regular cruise control that disengages itself automatically when you hit the brakes I just was uncomfortable with the KAOKO so I sold it. Factory cruise control was the main reason I eventually traded the 2013 for a brandnew 2018 ES.

I very rarely use my KAOKO anymore because it has a very high "Pucker Factor" rating. o_O
Strictly for *wide open highways with no traffic and long distances between on/off ramps.

*which really do not exist in large numbers within the Tri-State area.
