The police i instructor we had did not use the traffic as a reason, he said he was because of the way the bike would fall. I don't know. I am sticking to the left with this bike, that is for sure. Its already hard enough to climb onto with cases and all. ....and I mean climb.
:D :D
I also tested my self today, and unlike what I wrote earlier, I don't think I can mount/dismount the bike, without having it on sidestand.....I could on my TransAlp, but this bike is a bit wider.
So if we imagine that I lost the sidestand, I would have to find a big stone or Pavement to put my foot on, when mounting/dismounting :D :D

Another failing of the Beemer I had was the side stand. Pulled up to a crash, put the side stand down, and the bike went all the way down. The side stand had actually broken in half. (The dealership attempted to blame us for the failure of the kickstand ) Everybody was laughing when they saw the bike on it's side and thought I forgot to use the kickstand. The bike was easier to dismount when it was on it's side; just step away. :D When I went through the Dallas P.D. Motor school, I was told that it was tradition for the right side dismount. Personally, for 99% percent of the time, use the method that works best for you.
