The Delkevic sounds lovely but the whole melting bits on my bike wasn’t the intended outcome of a can change?
lol, you're not wrong. With the delkevic you have to be really super mindful of where the exhaust is outputting, OR, you need to get the long one that sticks out under the indicator on the left side. I was super mindful of the mounting position and even I still messed it up as I have a melted fender to prove it. I didn't tilt it out just enough for the exhaust gases to clear.

Shame I don’t like the look of their 450mm one

I love my Yoshi RS4, great with the baffle in but a bit loud with it out, good when you are having a quick blast around but it's a bit much after a long day's riding.

I have Akrapovic and find it very quiet. Too quiet. Pipe came with the bike when I bought it, however, I am coming from a V Strom which had a two brothers full exhaust. The two brothers had an awesome sound though there was a loud droning at highway speeds. I would buy the two brothers again.

Hey Guys

So Now that I've got my S10 Gen 2, I would like to improve the sound of the bike. This is something I Do on all my motorcycles, so I am looking forward to doing it on my new bike! What I am looking for is a pipe that has a very bassy, commanding sound... I don't like the "Tinny" loud pipes that are just loud for the sake of it. I'm looking for a pipe that has a nice rumble, big growl... I've tried watching the videos on youtube and unless everyones microphone sucks, I think the Akro or the Arrow pipes sound the best. I would like in the future to upgrade the headers as well to get more performance but for now, I am looking mainly at just the slipon. Can anyone provide some insight as to what they have, or what they have heard while in S10 gatherings?

Thanks!!
Several after market slip-On exhaust’s are to close to the indicator light and might melt it. So i went for the Akra, and other reasons like weight and sound.

Arrow full exhaust here. Definitely on the loud side with db killer out. If you like loud and throaty this is the one. l do love how easy they made it to modify and remove it. When it goes on long tour rides the db killer goes back in. A little too loud for me with touring.

After reading this forum and listening to the YouTube vids, (Thank-you to those that took the time to post) I went with the Delkevic -it sounds great - and is much cheaper than everything else. I was really impressed with the build quality and the finish. Sounds brilliant with insert in. No issues with melting the mudguard or the indicator.
I've not been able to road test it with the insert out yet - sounds gloriously bassy when revved statically but noticed there is a whistle on the overrun due to the hole where the insert bolt goes through. I'll need to sort this before I road test because it will annoy me.

Still happy with it?

Yoshimura RS4 here too. It's EPA approved and not loud.

I’ve been pleased with mine (Delkavik). Note how mine is turned a bit in its mount to angle the exhaust away from the rear fender. Also the hanger that comes with the exhaust allows for quite a bit of horizontal movement. I put on a little support brace to stop it.

I really like the sound with the baffle in. Gives the bike a better sound at lower rpms. And it’s not loud at cruising rpms. With the baffle out it’s too loud for me. The build quality is great. The chrome finish has held up excellent. The tip which I believe is stainless has a nice patina finish. It’s a good product. 16CCA71D-EC9C-4E50-9342-2AB3D72806C8.jpegB43C145A-1C5B-4751-B66D-47FFDBE1FF11.jpeg

I originally installed my Delkevic angled out like that too. It started to bug me though, so I straightened it and it has not been a problem. No melted fenders or signals.

Yoshi RS4, factory finish, carbon end-cap. Lovely deep rumble at tick over, bark whilst accelerating and gurgling/light popping on decel. Love it.
