How many days?
The 4 corners part was 6800 miles - 16 days. Way more freeway miles than I wanted, but two things drove that decision...(pun intended) the hurricanes and a grand-daughters wedding I need to be home for.
More useless info can be found on my blog if you want to punish yourself..

Naw, I had a couple gals from my Star Chapter do it some ten/fifteen years ago, took them 17 days, and they played a bit on the way.

Right. I read of a few that finished it in 10 days or some such number.... Good for them, but I don't have any interest in doing it that fast. If I do it again I'll take 20 days and 23 hours out of the 21 day limit to finish and do a lot more rose smelling along the way.

That's how I would do it. I didn't know this was a thing; competition wise. I've thought about doing it in my Jeep, fold the top back and enjoy. (too much of a candy ass to use my bike) But, if I do it, it will be for sightseeing (rose smelling) not speed.

It is totally not a competition....the SCMA doesn't post or even keep the times (as I understand it).
A jeep or other vehicle with a soft top would be sweet!! Down when its sunny and up when its not.... I would have loved to have a top of some sort when Ida was pouring down on me.

My kid has a hard top, and wishes he had a soft. The new, '97-current, soft tops are nothing like the '95 & older. They're tight and quiet. Less than 5 minutes up/down, including doors.

Friday was an 8 pass crossing day, Kenosha (twice), Boreas, Fremont, Hagerman, Independance, Weston and Red Hill

I have not been up Hagerman in 3-4 years and the east side is much rockier than I remember it being. the nicest part is at the very top. There was the obligatory 2 ft deep water crossing on the west side. This is part of the COBDR route.

This was my lunch spot on Hagerman

Independence pass (west side) now has stop lights for traffic control. Probably because of too many issues from the 1 lane parts.

Rest stop before going over Weston and heading home.

Hi to all!
This past weekend I had the opportunity to ride with the "Confederacion Internacional de Motocilistas y Policia de Caminos" organization.
They organized a ride to conmemorate the independence in Mexico. so we went to the Dolores Hidalgo in the state of Guanajuato where all the Independence activity started.
The ride we had,
