Just home from a week camping in Scotland.

Beautiful weather all week - except for the last few miles of mist / low cloud between Thurso & John O'Groats. I did the 9 hour drive up & down from Fort William in one shot (except for fuel), soooo grateful for cruise control, then a relaxed few days working up the west coast, then back along largely the same route as far as Ullapool where I cut across to Fort Augustus for the lovely roads alongside Loch Ness & Lochy.

The trip was mostly a test-run of new bike & several new bits of gear ahead of a 3 week Norway trip later in the year, everything performed well, just need some heated grips.

Saw a few other Tenere's up there too - blue one at apple cross, couple of white ones, and a french couple on a grey at John O'groats.

Mt Nebo Scenic Loop between Nephi and Payson, UT. Slow 30 mph ride, but beautiful scenery.

It was supposed to be 107F at home that day, so spending the day in the mountains, some points over 9000' made for a really pleasant day. Did a demo ride on a '16 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro that morning as well. Interesting bike, but at $10k more than a Super Ten, not something I could justify, and there was that chain too. ;)

Hair dryer and WD-40
Had I not read this a few days ago the project of removing some old and big azz off-road stickers from the PO on drive side of my swing arm would have been much more painful today...the WD does in fact work..and to think I never learned this over my 44 years...shaking my damn head ::)

Rode from Gunnison, UT to St George, UT today yesterday with the wife on her GS. Brief bit of I-70, then South on 89, cut over the mountains on 128/14 to Cedar City, then had planned to run West on 56 and South on 18, but it was getting late and the lady was tired, so we spun it up to 80 mph and burned down the I-15 to St George. I saw 115F on the bike before we got home.

Saw 10,000 feet elevation, 110F temps and turned over 100k on the Super Ten, right across the road from Butch Cassidy's once upon a time cabin. No signage or spot to pull over there, but stopped just up the road while still reading 100k.

(just a pump shack, not the Butch Cassidy cabin)

(in case you want to go there)

better pic of the Devil's Kitchen sign from the day before.
