Ummmmm, pie!

I know! It was called "junk" pie. I asked the girl if it was just pie made out of whatever was leftover when they were finished making all the other pies. She laughed and said it might have started out that way but they actually used a recipe. It had blue berries, raspberries, peaches, apples, tons of other awesomeness and it was the best piece of pie I'd ever had, and trust me, I've had my share and yours too during my lifetime. I'll be making a return visit there soon.

Hitting two of the local camp grounds today fetched some Fire wood that folks left over the weekend for the fire place keeping the heat bill down in my time of need..
This bike is a trooper! ::026::

Well yesterday 6 of us Old Farts met and had a ride. Up in Western North Carolina to the Blue Ridge Parkway and over to Blowing Rock, NC on NC 221 a very nice curvy road. Had some good BBQ and then down Elk Creek not a long ride... ~ 130 miles for me. Some had to ride 85 miles to meet me here in the foothills to start the good fun riding and then 85 miles back home so they had twice the miles as I.
It was nice to get out and the views were amazing with all the leaves off the trees! The temps were low 50F here in the foothills and low to mid 40's F on the Mtn. ::008:: ::021::

Nowhere, it's trapped in the garage until we get some heavy rain to wash away the bike-toxic mixture of salt and chemicals the local council have strewn all over our roads :(

Off Road

I bought my 2012 Tenere in August 2015. Today was my first opportunity to try out the bike off road on a fire road mixed with loose gravel, puddles, mud, rocky hills, and some whoops. I have to say the bike is a blast off-road. On the steep downhill stuff the ABS was a non-issue and I love how much torque there is down low making slow hill climbs easy. My concerns about the bikes off road ability have been alleviated and I cant wait to get out some more this summer.

I just 2 weeks ago spoke with a guy about renting bikes out of Jo-Burg to ride the coast. You're a bad influence.

Bad influence, :))

You wont be disapointed, let me know when you planing to come and I can help you with some routes.

You must do a good search on the rentals, some okes are over prized with their rentals, I know here at the coast (Wildernis) is a oke that also do rentals (XT 660 Z), if you want I can help you to search for a good and reliable rental company in SA.

Rode to breakfast and then a short river ride. Was supposed to rain but turned out to be good overcast weather. Need to install Rox Risers.
