So yesterday we just bimbled along to the local Glencoe visitor centre. Very mixed weather.

Impressive reconstruction of an ancient home, although I think it’s a bit to tidy. Just feel the basic tools available to build these would result in a slightly scuffier finish on the whole. It also lacked a flu whole in the ridge.

Foghorn and compressor room used up to 1986. Originally worked by two full time keepers and one part time. Living in two cottages next to the lighthouse, basically living self sufficient with farming and a smallholding around them.

couldn’t persaude the wifeto climb the 150 steps to the top. As much as I don’t do heights, I was quite keen to try it. Next time maybe.

Glengary and Kyle of Lochalsh today, one of my favorites rides. Fast flowing bend after bend, too good to stop n take pics, so just one of Eilene Donan castle where we stopped for a coffee before heading back to Invermoriston for some lunch at a friends daughters excellent cafe.
