What's that I feel under my butt? Why a new suspension of course!

Just got off the phone with Alex at Konflict Motorsports. Tenere is done - was finished up earlier today. She was well behaved and provided Alex with zero problems during the install.

Now the bike has a Touratech Expedition rear shock and the Hyperpro front springs. Can't wait to test this combo out. Naturally, it's getting down to about 36 on Saturday, so my ride to get the tires swapped will be a chilly-a$$ed affair, and it'll leave me with no real way to test the new boingers. An actual road test shall have to wait...unless I can squeeze one in after work tomorrow... :)

Gonna feel amazing! I did a similar full suspension upgrade on my FJR (GP Suspension) and it was a night and day difference in the bike. You'd think, nah, not such a big deal...and you'd be dead wrong. For most riders, in most situations, an aftermarket, upgraded suspension will hands down be a better choice (dollars aside, of course).

With the new TKC 80s? Bring it!

It's a killer bike OEM.
It's a magic bike, once it handles like a great horse.

Yup. Damn it was some sporty when I rode to the shop today to swap tires - what a frigging difference! So, so good!

I did mine a week or two ago. Ended up with the 180kg spring.
Haven't ridden it in the dirt yet, but it feels pretty sweet just on the commute. Can't wait to try it out in the rough stuff.

Curious minds need to know...which shock spring did you end up with?

The white one!

Seriously, though, I never thought to ask. I gave Alex my info (weight, riding style, etc.) and he took it from there.

Its written on the spring itself if you're curious.

*edit* In hindsight, I'm making an assumption that the printing on the spring is what this means, but that might not be the case. Probably should call Alex or TT to get the definitive answer. Alex told me he put a180kg spring in mine. The printing on my spring is "150-180 TT (48/12)"

Confirmed when I saw Alex today. Mine says 160 which is the 160 kg spring. Alex tells me the second number is...oddly, the length of the spring in MM. ;)

Thanks for the info. Assuming it is a 180 150 N/mm spring, converts to ~ 857 #/in. Sounds about right given what others have reported needing on other aftermarket shocks.

Edit, with sportsguy info 160 N/mm ~ 915 #/in...makes sense now.
