Last day for OZ adventure. Gotta make it to Melbourne by 5:30pm tomorrow to return the Blue Beast to the rightful owners. (Should you be next in line, insist on new shoes :) And they have K60's! So insist)

So this explains the frost?

Coming

And Going

Again, stunning views of this amazing island

Finished off a Scotch Filet with pepper sauce.
Another perfect day.

Yesterday rode 404 miles (250 miles of back roads) to hit the 14,000 mile mark. The backroads between Hollister CA and Paso Robles CA beautiful and very fun. No pictures since I lost my camera somewhere at home :(

Did that perhaps include Highway 25 and parts of San Benito County? You really need to try Los Gatos Creek Road off of 25 into Coalinga. Of course, once you're in Coalinga the logical choice is 198 to Parkfield Grade Road for a steak at Parkfield Inn, then out to San Miguel and back to the coast any of several tantalizing ways.

This weekend, I rode an 800 mile loop up and around Colorado, that went through Pagosa Springs, South Fork, Saguache, Gunnison, Montrose, Ouray, Silverton, Durango, and back down into New Mexico. All pavement, no offroading due to the rain, and mud. :-(
Great ride though, lots of fun, found a few new roads I hadn't ridden yet.

Went for a ride and got the Ten more dirty than it already was. Nice 15 mile stretch of county roads and then picked up 10 more on the return home. Sure be glad to wear these tires out and get some nobbies..

Rode from Paso Robles to BlueByU's home. We Harmonized (TB Sync) both Tenere's, lubed the shifter bushings, vented the fuel tank filler tubes, shared a lot, cleaned windshields, and took a very nice ride to dinner near Pismo Beach. Hopefully will be getting a new rear tire tomorrow for a back roads ride home on Wednesday.

Ps - Cycle Gear has the Bridgestone Battle Wing 150/70 VR 17 on sale for $136.14.

Returned her to the exact spot I took her from 9 days ago. She kinda looks sad with all her kit removed and looking all abandoned.

Anybody that ever considers riding in OZ should give these guys a call. They got a huge inventory of bikes for hire. (But you already know which one to get :) )

I assured Trevor and Richard that NOBODY that ever took one of their bikes had more fun than we had! Really good guys.

Well, thanks again for all the suggestions from you Aussies. Great country. Great folks.

I guess I won't be posting on "What did you do to/with/on your Tenere today" tomorrow. Will be at 31,000 feet for the whole day. My birthday, by the way. 54. Last 9 days was the best present I could have ever asked for.

Not according to the pump, the receipt and the sniff test. Thanks
Either way, Make a complaint where you bought the fuel, with your receipt, & insist on some one getting back to you after they have tested the fuel. This is standard operating procedure for them. (Inside knowledge ;))

Thanks for sharing the inside knowledge. I'll take advantage of that suggestion!

Installed Pro Taper Contour Raptor handlebars. A huge improvement in ergonomics for me. Still not perfect, but I think with the addition of the Rox 1 up and 1 back risers they will be perfect. Now to figure out how to attach the bar end weights. Planning on using large well nuts unless someone has a better idea!

I did the same thing a week or so ago. I am not home for the exact part number but MSR makes a simple barend nut that works very well. I will post the part number when i return tomorrow night.

Went to a funeral for a KLR friend... sad but inspiring

Rode to Cycle Gear SLO for a well needed new rear tire... excellent

Turned off of Hwy 101 onto the Hwy 46 off ramp. The pickup truck in front of me backed up and crushed my front fender... not good, bummed

Now I have a 7+ hour ride tomorrow with a broken front fender and a new rear tire... I'll live

So what was his reason for backing up, and did he at least acknowledge his asshattery?

I'm envisioning a slope and someone that can't get off the clutch and on the gas in a timely fashion...
