We’ll have to keep an eye out for you when we’re up in July. We’re stopping at our usual site at Bunree for 10nights.Been an eventful weekend for me ! Took delivery of a blue liveried 2014 ES XT1200 Tenere with 11.5k miles on her on Thursday at 8am. Had given her a quick spin on my gravel tracks by 9am. Went for a quick ride on the A86 between Roy Bridge to Laggan then onwards towards the start of Corrieyairack Pass. Unfortunately, the access rules in Scotland prevent riding the pass now. According to a sign there are a couple of very delicate bridges on the route. It could be a very old sign! Have read & digested the owners manual. Played with all new things on a bike for me: heated grips, cruise control & suspension settings. Then went for another ride to Fort William & took a detour up Glen Nevis which wasn't very enjoyable on a sports bike but the dips & crests were really fun on the Tenere. Have bought a second hand SW Motech Luggage racks, paniers & top box. The top box on the bike in the photo is going. Then gave the bike a very good wash as there is a lot of salt on the roads at the moment. Investigating a MRA vario screen. Other than that not a lot!

Yep, the FD fluid will look better after a few changes. Using fully synthetic helps.Changed the oil, filter and final drive fluid. BTW, the final drive fluid was nasty, only 2500 miles. I read somewhere that the FD fluid will get better after a few changes. All set for the first ride once the streets get a little less crappy. Now only have to service my RT.
I will keep an eye out too! Have a fabulous time when you are up here! We’ll have to keep an eye out for you when we’re up in July. We’re stopping at our usual site at Bunree for 10nights.
The angels were ok on the Tenere but felt sketchy on our rubbish worn out UK roads. I will see how the tkc70s works out but I hear the fronts wear funny but apparently Continental have fixed this ?? , I guess I will seeThose Pirellis worked awesomely on the FJR, but wore way too quickly in the center. How were they on the Tenere? They don't look worn out.
Do those new tires have direction of rotation arrows on them? That back one looks off.Removed the Pirelli angel gts an Fitted and balanced some new tyres today .View attachment 89820View attachment 89821View attachment 89822View attachment 89823View attachment 89824
