Not really anything to the Super Tenere, but I did do something to my Helmet.
Got these from Santa this Christmas, so I figured I would install them today.
Here's what's in the box.
Installation was really easy.
Simply remove the tiny screw holding the speaker connection to the Helmet-Clamp Base and pull it out.
(you have to re-use the little clamp with the screw-hole. It un-clips from the speaker connection)
My Helmet cheek-pads and interior padding snap in, so they are easy to remove to run the speaker wiring underneath them.
The speakers themselves just velcro to the speaker-pockets in the cheek-pads.
They are slightly thinner, and just slightly smaller diameter than the original SENA speakers.
Originals on the left, HD ones on the right.
You have to update the firmware of the SENA unit, and download the latest app on your phone to have the "HD Speaker" function turned on.
I tested them back-to-back with the originals.
They are a bit clearer sound, with a definitely better depth of sound.
I wouldn't go as far to say "WOW these are a huge improvement", cause lets face it, they are still a tiny speaker trying to put out sound while trying to overcome wind-noise and everything else that's going on while you're riding.
I would say they definitely are a slight improvement in sound quality.
Are they worth the $40 for the upgrade?..............................Maybe.
It depends on how much a slight increase in sound quality is worth to you?
I did not go riding with these. I just walked around the house with the Helmet on, so I might have a better view of these once i get them out on the road.
