I have a complaint - this bike is too clean! For those of us that have been riding in the rain for the last 2 (er... 3) weeks, such levels of cleanliness are but a distant memory...

Fitted the Touratech brake pedal extender. Easy and (it feels like) I'm getting better feel at the lever. The guard on the inside edge is a neat touch.

The side bags are from my snowmobile and the top bag is a bags connection reverse tank bag.
I have to make some brackets for the side bags to keep them out of the tire and muffler, but I think they will work just fine for weekend trips.
It's something to work on over the winter and also making a plate to keep the water from soaking the back of your legs.

I actually rode home from the cabin in the rain for a hour before taking this pic,and 5km of that was on dirt.
The rain up here is much cleaner then yours ::015::

Just got my Yamaha Topcase install ( 20 minutes, no problems), and remove the windshield to wash this hard to reach spot where all the big flys seem to like go explode themself... ;)
Gonna ride tomorrow :)

A couple days ago I replaced the stock (top) windshield bolts with longer bolts and added a 3/8" thick spacers to push the windshield forward. No ill effects though I suspect better wind protection.

9/9/2011 (California's Birthday): I purchased OEM side cases, brackets, and case liners. I also purchased oil, filter, and Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease.
- Installed the brackets.
- Installed the locks.
- Installed the side cases.

- Rode the Super Tenere with the new unloaded side cases and did not know they were there.
- Logged 3,000 miles while riding.
- When I got home I drained the oil, removed the oil filter, and drained the final drive gear oil.
- Will replace the oil filter, fill the oil and gear oil in the morning.

Today I'll give it a bath and change the oil and the FD oil.
It's been 1 month today since I took delivery and the odometer is showing 6567 miles.
Looks like its gonna be a keeper !!

Today I will stare at a picture of my bike. He is 1,700 miles away for the winter. Oh, woe is me. Send money. R

Just installed OEM top case. Wasn't difficult at all. I know there is another thread on here talking about a loss of the top case after hitting a pothole. My guess is the guy didn't attach the case to the bike correctly... That's not too hard to do, especially when the case is new and the attachment pieces need to be fully broken in. When you attach it correctly, it is pretty dang solid.

Side cases are next! 8)

Just installed OEM side cases. It was just a little bit more difficult than the top case, and I had to make a trip to the hardware store to get a Tamper proof Torx bit that I didn't have. Besides that, it was not difficult. All of the parts fit like they were built specifically for the bike (because they were) and the side cases and the top case all look great.

Hmm....now it's time for a tasty beverage 8)

Today I fitted a Kaoko throttle control, installed a quick detach Pelican topcase and adjusted my CO settings to +5. And yes, someday I will post a picture.

Post up some pics! I would like to see the quick detach Pelican topcase. I welded up a solid mount for my Pelican 1550 but have been thinking of making it quick release.

Finally.....got to take the Ten on a decent ride, 270 miles worth. Did some gravel roads with my friend on his new Ducati and I think mine handled a little better mostly due to the different tires between the two. Love the bike but not so much the seat. And oh yes, it's filthy now:) I'll be glad when it's broke in and I can use the other 4,000 rpm's.
