Ran a couple of sets of PR4s on the Tiger800 found them excellent, no dramas in the rain.

I have not run PR4s. I was displeased with PR3s on the S10.

I've had good results with Pirelli Angels on the FJR, so ordered a set for the Super Tenere. I'm waiting for a goad touring trip to toss them on.

Took my freshly rebuilt 2012 with second gen pistons, rings, and new valve seals ::) for a rip!!

Oh my word...Gave the rings a good scrub, and my new E07s a break in. Lovely.

I too have used the Angels with good results. But, I had better results with Battlax BT-23s. Equal grip, with better wear. The FJR is a tire killer; rear tire that is.

I have a 2800 - 3000 mile ride coming up in 90 days so I started early on checking everything and getting ready for the trip.
Mileage: 22k
Adjust valves - none out of spec
Adjust TB - about 1/4 turn off
New plugs - slightly burnt ends, not bad but replaced anyway
Greased spline
Replace LH Switch Assembly with OEM one that has Hazard Lights & Flash to Pass
Replace rear Brake Pads
Bleed and flush brake & clutch lines
Change oil & filter, grease shifter & rear brake pedal

Just got back from not quite 6,500km of South Island roads. One times endurance ride plus lots of exploring on gravel/dirt roads. Fantastic trip that the S10 just ate up!

BigBore.................you're gonna likey.

There's a lot of ways to skin a cat. But none better than just going all out.

Can't tell from the pic, but did you get the DLC too? Sweet, no matter what. But SAAAWWWEEEEET if so.

Well not today actually, but Sunday I completely bleed and flushed the brake fluid. Went for a short ride to active the ABS a couple of times and then re-bled the system. Did the clutch as well. I mean why do the wire jumper thing when you can ride, right? Fluid in the front brake system didn't look too bad but the clutch and rear brake fluid was pretty dark. The second bleed didn't look any different than new fluid so either the fluid in the ABS pump was pretty clean or there's just not much in there and it got diluted out into the larger volume. Brakes & clutch do feel a bit better. While I was at it I also disassembled and lubed the shift lever pivot.

FKA 106. Nope on the DLC as far as I can tell. Bringing them your way end of April. We're coming down for Moto GP.

I just got my ECU back from Anthony and put it in, along with a new BMC air filter. I'll be taking a ride middle of next week to give her a good caning in the mountains to see how she responds. Can't wait!

Put some heat through the Arrow on a brisk 21 degree morning. Also a good test of the Oxford heated grips! I'm pleased with both.

the under 5 dollar upgrade :) Have not tested it yet but hopefully tomorrow.
I used to have Barkbuster Storms on my KLR and they gave very good wind and weather protection to my hands. With the Tenere I always have cold hands (might have to do with that it still is wintry) Storm set up for the ST is about 185.- Canadian plus tax and shipping. Since money is a little tight i figured I try something myself. If it does not work not much is lost. I've seen a post somewhere were a guy built extensions from mud flaps. I got some mudflaps at Canadian tire but they were 20.- and I didn't want to cut them unless i was sure it would work. I happened to be looking for something else at the Dollar store when these Campfire fans caught my eye. didn't had to think twice about cutting these made in china things apart. first try to attach them to the bike with rivets failed because they aren't strong enough and it pulled the rivet right through. So I enforced them with a second layer and also put a small rivet washer in between the layers. That seemed to work. If it comes lose while driving i guess then they just get zip tied on (still too much KLR in me :) )
We'll see tomorrow how they stand up and if it makes a real difference.

Last night we installed a new battery in Steve's '13. Today we rode...

Stunning weather and as many backroads as we could find.

That looks comfortable enough to put your coat on, grab a good book, and just go SIT. :)

Took it for a ride the other day to check the new flashed ECU (AVC8130). It is everything I hoped for. Also the new seat got tested. I kinda forgot it was on there, so I'll take that as a good sign.
