Mounted my Tourmaster Synergy controller to the bottom of the left switch pod and hard wired it to a Firstgear coax port.
I really like where you mounted your heat troller under the switchgear. How did you attach it? Is it just powerful 3M VHB tape or did you somehow bolt it on?

The speedo is off by alot ,if it said 137 then more then likely you were doing maybe 120 at the most,I never try to see how fast I can go because it will shorten the ride..Sierra1 said:Well, since it was 80* today, washed it, and went for a ride. Still fairly new to the bike, but what is the top speed? I hit 137mph today, before slowing for traffic. It was still pulling hard, and I even had the bags on. I'm curious what ya'll have seen on the speedometer.
With a 7% + max allowance on speedo error that is around 129 mph actual. Yes thats a lot.chwhnd said:The speedo is off by alot ,if it said 137 then more then likely you were doing maybe 120 at the most,I never try to see how fast I can go because it will shorten the ride..

I think you need 3! Then you would be REALLY good grief!chwhnd said:Finished installing 2nd stebel,if you think one stebel is loud try 2 ,good grief..
Checkswrecks said:The Gen1 bikes had horrible speedo accuracy and mine was slightly under 8% off. Yamaha addressed it in the Gen2 bikes and I don't think I've seen mine more than a couple of mph differ from the GPS.
Feel free to resurrect the old top speed thread and note that you are on a Gen2 bike.
I'd be interested to see a pic of where you mounted at least one of them. Got one on my Connie and also had one on my Vee. Keen to add one to the S10 at some stage.chwhnd said:Finished installing 2nd stebel,if you think one stebel is loud try 2 ,good grief..
Yes, the Gen II speedo is off by less, if any, than the Gen I. And most speed runs I've read of limit out at about 120. Not sure if that's a programmed number or just the laws of physics.Sierra1 said:So, I'm getting mixed signals. Gen 2 bikes have accurate speedometers? By the way, my post was not intended as a boast. Had a punk in a Kia following too close for comfort....gave it some gas for separation, and went fast. I was surprised that the TBDITW would go that fast. I was going to let ya'll tell me what top speed is, I was just curious. I enjoy riding twisties more than top speed blasts. Usually more adrenaline, less danger.
The dirty one was put on the week I got the bike a few years ago ,the 2nd one was a bit more challenging..EVLED said:I'd be interested to see a pic of where you mounted at least one of them. Got one on my Connie and also had one on my Vee. Keen to add one to the S10 at some stage.
