I got a new Anakee 3 rear tire today after the stock rear tire lasted 14000 miles; I replaced the original front about 1000 miles ago. Lots of high speed commuting up and down 101 in the SF Bay area, not nearly enough twisties and off-road fun.

Anytime you want to ride some fine roads and some rough roads... let me know and I will meet you in Winters. We can have breakfast and ride the westside of beautiful Berryessa https://goo.gl/maps/FBVgB7t9FPK2

Not on the Tenere yet, but I am revamping the controls I have added with some new switches.

The spotties switch ss illuminated Blue with just the label in the off position and the 2 spot lights in the on position, It's also a nice big switch and easy to find with a gloved thumb, handy when having to dip the lights quickly for oncoming vehicles.

My ABS switch is being upgraded to a cool safety style switch. The idea came to me the other day when I bumped my current switch and accidentally disabled my ABS, no chance of that happening with this switch.

Currently prototyping the design in Fusion360 and on my 3D Printer. The finished product should blend seamlessly into the exiting controls and clamp around the bars.

Put the finishing touches on my bike for the spring riding season, Altrider bars, Storm industries bar bags and techspec tank pads. Have a big trip coming up at the end of march heading south to warmer weather, sandy beaches and family. Currently in solo touring mode (Givi luggage, no skid plate, Altrider Pillion luggage rack). Finally done wrenching on it. Was a real treat to wrench on but I think it's done being farkled (for now). I cheaped out on the lightbar, so if it doesn't work out I'll be replacing it with something higher quality.

All that's left to do now is Ride!

Who did you get the bar bags from? Storm does not appear to have them on their website. ::021::

Finished putting together my GPS mount and hard wiring the power cord. Changed the oil/filter (Yamalube and Yamaha filter) and final drive lube (Amsoil Severe Duty 75w-90). Bike only has 350 miles on it, but I was bored and wanted a quick project.

Added DynaBeads front and rear, aired up, strapped a new pair of OBR Grip Mitts on then went for a ride. Bike is now ready for spring.

Rode over to the Phoenix IMS yesterday. Yamaha only had their demo truck there, so I tested the FJR (2015 model) for kicks and giggles.

I plugged and patched a rear Shinko 705 that had fewer than 250 miles on it. Balanced the rim and let it set overnight to see if it held air. Today will remount the wheel, assuming all went well. I've mentioned my disdain and struggles using the mojolever to mount tires (no issues dismounting). Tire irons, too! Finally found my solution when I enlisted The Wife to help hold the mounted bead in place. Now the tire doesn't walk the rim as I work!

Ok technically not today as I did get to ride yesterday. After I had AC flash my ECU and we checked the valves, checked the TB sync, replaced the battery, changed the clutch and brake fluid last week. I got out to ride yesterday. Met some of the NC Knobbies (The Knob Mountain MC club in western NC) for breakfast then a ride. We rode up to Sparta, NC and as we arrived at the restaurant for lunch it poured rain. It rained hard as we ate lunch and then it rained hard on my for the first 100 of the 130 mile ride home! Damn, I got wet. I should have known better than to trust my Aerostich Roadcrafter but it's only just over a year old but it leaked in the crotch and my ass got damp after sitting in water for 100 miles AND my arms stared to get wet as I got home. I have Frogg Toggs in my saddlebag where they stayed nice and dry! :-[ Well now I know for sure.
With the weather I didn't really get to check how the reflashed ECU on my 2014ES worked in S as I just kept it in T mode. Perhaps it's been too long since I rode it but the T mode felt a bit peppier than I remembered? I don't know I hope to get a good dry ride on it soon to really give it a test!
The ride while wet was still great to get out and RIDE!! ::021::

Had it delivered

Can't ride it on the road legally for another week due to the UK's weird vehicle registration system though.
