CCT replacement not necessary until you start to hear a little clacking for a few seconds on start up. You usually have a lot of miles on your bike before this starts happening. In my case 40,000 miles. However I ended up trading for a new 2014 before I got around to replacing the CCT. If you don't hear it, don't worry about it.
Ok thanks. I do have a sort of rattle at initial start up until oil starts flowing. I have 14,000 miles but this noise has been there since day one. It disappears quickly. It's more in the top end.

Finished installing new clutch basket, CCT, Barnett pressure plate, V Stream windshield, synced throttle bodies then took her out for a short test ride where a deer almost took me out. Boy would I have been upset. Lol

Can't hurt - some Department of Forestry vehicles use them too. I have seen one deer while riding . . . and it was running away ::001::

Can't hurt, unless you think they are protecting you from deer collisions. I have a souvenir from a 1992 deer collision when I totaled my 1987 Concours after hitting a deer one evening. The souvenir is a piece of the broken fairing.......................................with 2 deer whistles still on it (complete with deer fur in them) ;D

Rode the blue beast 2300 miles on an ironbutt bunburner ride.
Stopped in Ar-Kansas, and Texas to visit old friends.
Bike ran flawlessly with new clutch basket and Barnett clutch.
Beware of wild hogs in central Texas!

Rode to work at 19 degrees F with snow on the edges of the roads. At that temperature on Black Friday you get your pick of the motorcycle parking spots! And I know
::006::
But I was wearing heated glove liners and gloves over those and did not take them off until inside, so no picture.

50' of my driveway was icy but I live on a busy street and stayed on main streets that were clear. Have to attend a funeral visitation in Albia tonight so going near you.

You going anywhere NW on Saturday. Hoping to do some riding as today should clear the roads and they may be dry tomorrow. Could get a cup of coffee in the afternoon.

Checked the battery tender on my S10, then rode my Honda. ;-)

As it happens, I did something very similar yesterday.

Good to Know!
Yeah, won't help with all the deaf dears running around ???
My guess is they can't hurt -- but may not give more than $4 of protection. Just like the reflective tape I put on my boxes and wheels.

I never liked my matt primer gray '14 ES, so I had it painted white and added a few world crosser graphics.

Did a 280 mile ride around North Texas and Oklahoma. Road the Texoma Lake shoreline until I got to the beach that we back our boats into during the summer. That sand was DEEP and a BEATING with my stock tires. I was in a very deserted area and was starting to think I was going to spend the night there.

I was out riding the quad this weekend (Imperial Sand Dunes...it was our annual Thanksgiving trip and potluck), and will be off celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next week (so I won't be around, please be kind for when I return!), and then I get to ride the bike all next week...my wife sold her car so will be using my truck until we replace it....

What, didn't want to put a paddle on the Tenere! That would have been 1 out of 100,000+.

Congrats on the 20 years.
