My new Corbin seat arrived, went for a little 400 mile jaunt today to test it out. Quite comfy, I really like it. Seems to fit my arse perfectly.

Do they still offer 'one free adjustment' ?

I used to stop by the Northern California store for food... that is after I bought a set for my KLR and had it adjusted twice. Good people.

I changed all four spark plugs with over 13,000 miles and the old ones look great. Flushed both brakes and clutch and reserviced. Changed the oil, filter and rear drive. I also put the white painted aircrew back to full closed and got rid of the off idle stumble. Since I did reflash to the ECU this AS adjustment is no longer needed. I also synced the TB.

Had a freak thunderstorm pop up yesterday coming home from work. I thought I could beat the rain home, but caught the leading edge of it. I was tip-toeing around since I have K60s, but I didn't have a single slip. I did get to activate the Alert Function on the Skene Controller...

Ox-box heated grips now part of the collection. Seemed like good sense with
winter dead ahead. Was a bit interesting to get fitted over the G2 throttle but ingenuity prevails.
K784 set #2 on the way, V-heat jacket liner drops tomorrow.

Picked Fancy up on Monday after nearly a month at the dealer to figure out the clutch issues (as posted elsewhere here) - to be fair... much of that time was waiting on backordered parts like the new version CCT. I had successfully lobbied YES to approve the CCT swap since they already had the right side case off and thus most of the work done. The bike is much quieter now at startup and idle. The OEM clutch was determined to have been machined improperly from the get-go so they replaced everything - basket, plates, bushings, etc... However, they refused to put in the 204 clutch basket as Yammy said it was not designed for the 2012 bike and had not been demonstrated to fit or work. Ha!! They must not frequent this forum! So I got a "brand new" 2012 clutch (double checked old part #) put in there. Bike runs great. Clutch feel to the hand is way better than it had been. Vibes seem to be down, but that may be psychosomatic. Just nice to have the big girl back in action.

Yamaha does frequent this forum but... if they would have approved your upgrade then they would 'probably' have to approve all other requests to upgrade. The original clutch basket has proven to work as designed but not as good as the upgraded clutch basket. There are many Tenere's with 50,000 miles, one that I know of that has 100,000 kilometer's, and one with 129,000 miles. These all have a poorly designed clutch basket and Yamaha does not want to 'adventure motorcycle up' and replace these poorly designed parts. Something they will have to live with for many years.

Have I replaced my clutch basket, no... but I will if I don't sell it.

I've got 30,000 on my 2013 and don't have any clutch noises or issues.
