See, that is exactly the problem. They use these crazy big SAT words on the sign and I just get confused.NittanyXT said:I wouldn't think "leisurely" was in your vocabulary!
Excuse the iPhone garage pics...still kind of a work in progress. Looking at enlarging the plastic piece over the rear brake reservoir. Got the ideas from a thread here somewhere...couldn't see paying ~$150 to accomplish the same thing.tomatocity said:Share? Photos?
I have nothing to compare it to except the stock w/shield. It works better than oem for me. I will note it came out the box w/a couple scratches, one was fairly deep and the edges are not finished at all. But felt wind buffeting was noticeably better. I moved it to the lowest position and now have better view. In the high position, the top was just under my line of sight so lowering it made it better. I'm 6'0 and 34" inseam.mayassa said:Well how did the medium work out I was thinking of getting a large, I have one on my FZ6 and really works well.
Here is a link to the risers I used:roadrkt said:Installed the Rox 2" pivoting, vibration damping risers with stock brake/clutch lines using the optional install kit from ADVRIDER.COM. BIG difference in felt vibration and much more comfortable position.
Nice!! Now you've got a place to mount some highway pegs on that oem engine guard! My plan exactly.hodee said:Finally finished installing the upper Altrider bars from Jaxon in conjunction with the lower OEM crash bars and the ALT Rider skid plate. ALL the OEM crash bar parts were kept in use including the lower crossbar and the "up and over" light bar. the upper Alt rider bars use the same mounting holes as the oem lowers so just a bit longer bolts and few minor hole enlargements a minor "cut "out of the skid plate and a pry bar were used. A few choice vocabulary words, a lot of patience and a beverage of choice were required. Hope the pics come out clear enough. Ride on!!
Considering that screen for winter as well - would like to know your thoughts on its performance.Ticeman2 said:Installed the winter-time National Cycle 24" windshield, some ighway pegs, and mounted an airhorn to replace the whimpy OE horn. Ready for cold weather now.
It was very windy the day I put it on, 25-30 mph steady winds with gusts to 40, I rode just over 100 miles. It was easy to feel the difference it made in riding temp and wind noise. The downside to such a large windshield is the leverage that is applied at the top of the shield. It for sure moved the bike around more and made it work a little more but, it's what I expected. I don't have anything to compare to other than the stock windshield and Yamaha acc large windshield. Since I ride until the gravel road to my houses freezes this will do the job of keeping the air off my torso and head in fine fashion. I have a TT adjustable windshield mount and I have yet to play with angle adjustments.creggur said:Considering that screen for winter as well - would like to know your thoughts on its performance.
