Strapped on the Wolfman Rainier tank bag this afternoon. Nice fit to the tank (I think I have mine just a bit forward of it's final spot yet).

Fit to the tank nicely. Does not slip. Has nice bottom padding. Straps are plenty long enough for installation. Unclick the buckles, flip up and access the gas cap in 4 seconds.

Think I'm going to like it. Now it's time to load up and ride ::001::

Got it stuck. Really freaking stuck. Down an isolated road in the forest. A road I had to cross downed trees to get to the point where I got it stuck. So I knew no one was going to walk by to lend a hand. Stuck for 25 minutes in one spot, then 20 more minutes in a spot 20 feet later.

I blame my new Spot tracker. No way I would have gone there on my own if I didn't have a tracking device. That thing is dangerous. Yeah, it the trackers fault. ::)

This was the scouting trip for the Romney weekend? Sounds like you found the perfect route for those that want to get a bit "adventurous"!

Pics?

Holy crap DD, I cut the trees down for a reason, that road is nasty! Take a hint already! ::006::

Yes I think there may be a curse on those of us scouting for the perfect Romney course. I remember you getting stuck last year doing the same thing. Checkswreck better be careful. He in the hotel room next to me and will be back at scouting his course shortly.

I have pics and will upload when I get home.

20" snow this week gave plenty of time to get the basics on the new blue. Oxford Adventure heated grips, Touratech Crash Bars, Skid Plate, Panniers, Headlight Guard.
That is a very sweet set up. :)

Capslock came over and we adjusted the CO and sync'd the throttle bodies. Easier than I thought! But it does take a little time digging into the motor.

So far it definitely seems to be running smoother...

Capslocks had a great idea when he came over and I wanted to throw it out there. He said, "What about a tech day/" We could get together and some folks over to tinker with their bikes, have a cookout and maybe a few libations. Anyone in the greater DC area interested? I'm willing to have one at my place...

So I decided that since my ST is a solo mount, I removed the grab bars and passenger pegs. Since I had the SW-Motech QR racks, I needed to add spacers to make up for the grab bars. Turns out doubling up the provided spacers worked well, and I picked up a couple of 1" long spacers at the local Ace store.

I also washed the bike to get rid of all the bugs from run to Vegas and back last week.

Half-term holidays are over and the kids are now back at school. ::012:: Had the whole morning to myself so I stripped the wheels out, ready for a new pair of tyres. My S10 came with Tourance EXP's from new and after only 4,400 miles the rear now has a profile not dissimilar to David Coulthards chin. The front tyre probably has around 600 to 800 miles left in it but i'm swapping that too as it looks as though it might be starting to "cup".

I'm going to get a pair of Conti Trail Attacks fitted tomorrow, as I really liked them on my Tiger 955i and they'd probably be well suited to the 99% road riding that I usually do. I hope to get more than 4,500 miles out of a rear too but i'll have to wait and see how they and my throttle hand hold up. O:)

I found a perfect mound of dirt to high center my S10. Both wheels off ground and perfectly balanced. Couldn't have aimed it any better. It was about sunset and I have been over this mound before. It's behind my buddy's work shop and is at the bottom of a pretty steep hill. As I went down the hill I looked up at the mound and thought, "Hmmm...looks like John has added some soft dirt to the mound...I wonder if I can still make it over?" The photo is the answer to my question. So what did I do to my Tenere? Spent 20 minutes digging it out.

Ah yes, the self supporting, fully erect Tenere. I had one in black just the other day. Good times...good times. ::010::
